This recipe has been living and breathing on my blog for nearly a decade. It’s been a family favorite for longer than that, and seems to make it’s way to our table at least once a month. It’s super easy, you literally just put everything in the crock pot, close the lid and let it cook away. The chicken turns out nice and tender in a creamy, cheesy sauce that’s all covered with a crispy stuffing mixture.
Truly, this is one of those standard family recipes that hits to spot every time.
If you haven’t tried it yet, I hope you will!

  1. Jamie what can I say but…wow…made this last night and my family loved it! They said I will have to make this again. I didn’t have the Swiss cheese so I used mozzarella (next time will get the Swiss to try). Turned out great! The chicken was moist and tender and the stuffing was a perfect. This was so easy to make after a long day at work. Thank you…all of your recipes are wonderful. I love knowing that I don’t have to worry when I pick a recipe from you to fix. I just know it will be good and that’s a wonderful feeling. Saves my time and my pocket book! Thank you again.

  2. Hi jamie. I plan of making this and was getting my grocery list together. In the picture it looks like there are mushrooms, but they are not listed with ingredients. Do you sauté them or add them raw? Thanks!

    1. Bryn,
I do (sometimes) add mushrooms to this recipe. Just layer them over the chicken, and before you add the cheese. I usually use canned. Good luck!
