Happy weekend, everyone!
I hope you are enjoying a little fun in the sun…
A little breeze through the trees…
And maybe even a little nap by the pool.
The days of summer are limited, you know.
We have to take advantage of these things.

I have a great giveaway for you today.
Through Cedar Fort Books, I’ve had the opportunity to review this beautiful new cookbook by Wendy Paul…
The book is beautiful.
The photos are colorful and appealing.
Every flavor of cake ball you can imagine (and some you can’t!)
is available in this fun book.
From classic and delicious flavors like
Dark Chocolate Truffle
Cookies and Cream
and
Key Lime Pie
to some fabulous looking flavors like
White Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake
Egg Nog
and
Root Beer Float!
The book is both creative and inspiring.
I can’t wait to start making some of Wendy’s creations.

Cedar Fort Books has offered to give a copy
of this fun book to one of you beautiful readers.
If you haven’t worn makeup or gotten in the shower for a couple of days, don’t sweat it.
I’m sure you are still very lovely and beautiful.

To enter this giveaway I am asking a little favor of you.
It won’t be too tricky, I promise.
I have been getting a lot of feedback lately on the printable link that goes along with each recipe on my site.
Many readers have requested that I put a single picture
at the top of the printable page.
I haven’t done this in the past because I was conserned that some of you may not want to waste the ink it would take to print off a color picture with your recipe.
And so if you wouldn’t mind sharing your opinion?

To enter the Cookbook Giveaway just leave me a comment telling me if you would love a picture at the top of your printable recipe, or if you prefer the printable page to be a clean black and white text. Please be sure to leave your email address with your comment.

Thanks ever so much!
The giveaway will run from today until Thursday August 18th at midnight. The lucky winner will be announced Friday August 19th.
For a second entry post a link to this giveaway on Facebook, Twitter, or on your own blog.
Then come on back here and tell me you did so.
Thanks!
See you back here next week for more great recipes.
Hold on to your hats…..
Some of next weeks recipes don’t even have any sugar in them!
This is no joke.
Did you think I had forgotten about posting savory dishes?
Nope, not me.
Hope to see you then!
If you still haven’t put on anymake up, or showered by
Monday morning, rest assured….
you will still be beautiful to me.

Please black and white print only. I know I can go to your blog and look at all your beautiful pictures when I make one of your recipes because I have. Please find a way to hide our e-mail addresses. [email protected]

I always prefer to have a picture on my printable because then when I actually get around to making the yummy item I wanted to, I can remember what it is supposed to look like. Thanks!

I think a picture is a lovely idea but I have to say Id be more likely to print a recipe without a picture to save the ink. So overall id go for no-picture, or a very small one at most

ps actually i recall seeing somewhere a printable where theres a picture but you can click 'print text only version' – in which case you could please everyone if you could figure out how to do this! 🙂

I prefer black and white to print up. I love that you have pictures and step by step instructions when you read it, but for the print out I prefer no pictures. [email protected]

I say do whatever is easiest for you. I can always cut & paste if there's a picture but I don't want to print it or I can reference back to the site if there's not 🙂 I love all the pics on the site though. Thanks!

Your pictures are wonderful. I'd like to have a thumbnail sized picture with the printables. Still gives an idea of the finished dish without taking too much ink to print.

I always copy all of my favorites of your recipes into my own file of recipes and I include a picture about 2″ at the largest. It helps me remember the recipe and I can show my kids what it was and they can say whether they want me to make it. Plus your pictures always look delicious! So, I love the pictures, but since I don't use the printable option, it doesn't matter as much to me.

Jamie I appreciate the fact that your recipes are just black and white with no picture. Printer ink is SOOOO expensive! I just refer to your blog if I need a picture reminder. Thanks for all you do! I LOVE your blog!

I've seen other bloggers who have both options for printing. Option 1 being with a picture and option 2 being without. That way those who want a picture can print the option with a picture and those who don't want the picture can print the option without the picture……..

My vote would be no pic. Not that I worry so much about the ink, i hate it when a recipe prints on 2 pages 🙂
The cookbook looks fun! Thanks!

Reading through the previous comments it looks like it's probably your call on the photos as there's lots of votes for both options! Either way, I will continue to print and recreate your lovely recipes 🙂 LOVE your blogs (check them every day) and gorgeous photos and more than helpful tutorials; I think I use more of your recipes than any other site:) 🙂

I always prefer no picture because I want my recipe to fit on one side of the paper. I've seen other sites that have two links: one for the recipe text only and one for the recipe with a picture. Then we'd all be happy! jillsstorey (at) yahoo (dot) com

I love having a picture on the recipe. Even when I buy cookbooks I prefer the ones that have a visual invitation that says eat me. When I'm looking through new recipes to try I like to just flip through and have the picture stand out and say 'yes make me'.

Love the pictures. It makes it helpful when the kids help plan the menu, especially if they don't know how to ready.
