This Giveaway is now closed.

Two years ago…

on this very day.
I started stock piling recipes onto this little blogspot of mine.
I had NO idea what I was doing…
the Internet is a tricky beast to maneuver you know!
What with HTM…L? is it?
And hyperlinks and social media and page ranks and how do I even add a link to a post and what about making a little money and
how do you make a food blog work and
how do I make my pictures more appealing and
who can I tell about my blog and
will people use it and
will people like it
…and all of that kind of stuff was
tumbling around through my noggin for a good long while.
Still is, if you want to know the truth!

And now, with two years under my belt
I feel like I have learned a thing or two,
maybe even two and a half!

And I’ve come to the realization that there are a few things about this food blogging business that I know, for sure.
Here they are.

love
writing
this
blog.
I love cooking for this blog.
I love thinking about what to cook.
I love that you show up to read it!
I love to hear about your cooking successes!

And the VERY most important thing I’ve learned?
This blog would be pretty lame with out you.
Seriously.
It would just be a lonely old corner for me and my butter and sugar.
And so today I wanted to say…
Thanks.
Thanks a bunch for reading this blog of mine, and for trying these recipes and for saying hello to me at the grocery store and for telling your sister about my site and for bearing with an occasional mis-spelled word and for leaving a little comment love and
for just being so all around great.

You’ve made it possible for me to have a job that I love.
And in this day and age…
loving the job you have
is a luxury one should never take for granted.

To show my appreciation…I bought some knives for you.
Ok, not really for all of you.
If I had Oprah’s bank account….I would!

But for TWO of you!
This is the knife set that I use everyday in my kitchen.
I love it to pieces…don’t know what I’d do without it.
It may not be the most glamorous of knife sets…
but it makes cutting and cooking in the kitchen
a whole lot easier.
To enter this giveaway…I’m hoping you’ll give me a little feedback.
All you have to do is tell me what you’d like to see more of on this site. More Easy Dinner Recipes, Bread Recipes, Dessert Recipes, Cookie Recipes, Side Dishes, Salad Recipes, Potluck Dishes, Cute Recipes, Soup Recipes, Recipes for Kids….

  1. I would love to see recipes that can be doubled and eat not freeze for later…also crock pot recipes. With such busy lives, but still knowing the importance of family meal times, anything to simplify this is needed!!!

  2. I've always thought you had a pretty balance of recipes. I wouldn't mind more side dishes – seems like I often struggle with sides. I'd also love to see crockpot dishes. I love using my crockpot and have one day a week I almost use it but I'm running out of ideas! Love your blog. Thanks for the great recipes!

  4. Thanks for an amazing recipe blog. I love your cute humor, each time I have to read through the whole post–cause it brings a smile or chuckle to my day. I would love to see more quick and easy meal recipes–I have 5 going on 6 kids and I feel like I spend 1/2 my day trying to get dinner ready. thanks again and Happy 2nd! You do a fabulous job!

  6. Boy, I don't know that any one category of recipe is “lacking” here, I love your blog and the variety you post. Although with the price of groceries these days, I'm always excited to find “frugal” dinner recipes for families.

  7. I love your blog, I like the step by step directions and pics. I found your blog from deals to meals (your sister's blog right?) I would like to see more easy meals, or maybe crock pot meals. Thanks again, enjoying viewing.

  8. You have such fun recipes! I enjoy your blog! I would that you could add more healthier dinner options! That would be wonderful!

  9. I absolutely LOVE your recipes!! Several of them are my go-to recipes! So, first, thanks for what you do! 🙂

The only thing I'd like to see more is the nutritional info for the recipes. I know there are a lot of us that either count calories, or have to watch certain aspects, so it would just make it easier… probably not for you though! 🙂
