Hello to you, one and all.
The weekend is upon us
and a mighty beautiful one it is, at that.
I thought you might be in need of a few dinner ideas for a
certain up and coming holiday that involves
darling children ringing doorbells,
chocolate candy bars flowing freely
and excitement streaming from every corner.
Chilly Halloween nights call for a hot bowl of soup, some homemade bread and a kiss on the cheek….don’t you think?
I’ve put together a few of my favorites recipes,
just for you and your goblins.
Click on the links you will find the recipes waiting.
No tricks involved.

Taco Soup (Crock Pot)
This hearty Mexican flavored favorite can be put together in the morning and then left to simmer all day long. Just what a gal needs on a day when the TO DO list includes important things like attending Halloween Parades, helping with a classroom party or two, painting wiggly faces and carving slimy pumpkins.

Corn Bread
A wonderful partner for Taco Soup.
Everyone needs a partner in this life, you know.
White Chicken Chili
This hearty chili is made with dry beans….however, if the thought of cooking with dried beans causes you to break out in a cold sweat, just use 4 cans of great northern beans and you’ll be set.
This White Chicken Chili is what my kids have requested for Monday night. I can’t complain! It’s my favorite chili recipe, hands down.

These wonderful breadsticks are also on my menu for Monday night. I would be a little bit embarrassed if I were to reveal to you just how fast my kids can gobble up a whole pan of these babies.
I’m hoping, if they eat a couple of breadsticks…
maybe they won’t devour quite as much candy.
Hoping. Really hoping.
Cheese and Vegetable Soup
This cheesy delight is a perfect choice if you are entertaining a large crowd on Halloween. It can feed about 20 people and I haven’t ever met a soul who didn’t love it.

Fluffy Dinner Rolls
Dunk some of these fabulous rolls into the
Cheese and Vegetable Soup and your life is going  to be pure bliss,
I tell you. The combination of the two is wonderful.

Chocolate Dipped Spider Web Oreos
A fun cooking activity for little spooks and big spooks alike.

A sticky, gooey version of Caramel Popcorn.

A great way to end the holiday.
(Because I’m sure you will need a little something sweet on Halloween, right?)

Have a great weekend everyone!
See you back here next week….new recipes are in store.
