Hello there, gang. Thanks for hanging in there with me during this Week Of Frilly Fancy Shower Type Recipes And Ideas. 🙂

Next week I’ll be back to my usual posting of What In The World Can I Make To Feed My Ever Hungry Family. Because I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but breakfast lunch and dinner roll around every single day weather we like it or not, right? I’ve been cooking up a storm this week and am excited to show you the things I’ve been working on.

Also, I wanted to let you know that the good ladies at Gooseberry Patch are featuring me on their site today. An honor, truly. If you are up for reading a bit more about me and my family, click on over and take a look.

I am also guest posting today at Or So She Says, if you’d like to pay them a visit.

And finally (before we get to the parchment cones, for goodness sake!) I have a fun little giveaway for you all today.  My Memories is giving a free copy of their digital scrapbooking software to one of you. If you enjoy playing around with graphic design or love digital scrapbooking this is the program you have been looking for! I made the little graphics pictured in the photo with My Memories software. It’s a lot of fun to play with, I’m excited to have my own copy. Besides offering basic software, My Memories also has a lot of cute Digital Scrapbooking Kits in all sort of themes, that are very affordable.

To enter the giveaway just leave me a comment at the bottom of this post telling me your favorite kind of popcorn. Cheddar, Crunchy Caramel Corn, Cinnamon Bear Popcorn, White Chocolate Popcorn, Pretty Purple Popcorn, I Hate Popcorn…what ever your preference may be, let me know about it. Please leave me your email address with your comment. You can enter to win until Thursday March 22nd. Winner will be announced on Friday March 23rd.

ALRIGHT! Let’s talk Parchment Paper Cones. Sound good?

These fun little cones are perfect way to fancy up a party and work well for holding all kinds of yummy things. I filled mine with Crunchy Caramel Popcorn and White Chocolate Popcorn. (As a little side note: I used Violet Candy Wafers, instead of the called for white chocolate chips in the White Chocolate Popcorn recipe.)

Let’s make some cones, shall we?

Parchment Paper Cones
You will need:
Parchment Paper
Ruler
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
Stapler
Cute Graphics or Stickers

1. Grab yourself some parchment paper. I got mine at Walmart, but you can buy it at most grocery stores and anywhere that Wilton products are sold.

2. Cut the parchment paper into 10×10 squares.

3. Starting at the bottom left corner, fold the edge up about 2-3 inches and make a soft crease along the fold.

Fold it again, so that the tip of the first fold is even with the upper left corner.

Fold it again, so that there are about 1 1/2 inches of paper remaining along the right hand side. Notice that the top point (at the left of the picture) has an even amount of paper of either side.

4. Put some hot glue down the entire side of the remaining edge of parchment.

and fold it over so that the glue sticks to the pack of the cone, and press it down with your fingers.

5.  Slide a stapler into the top of the cone and put one staple into the back. (The part you just hot glued) This is just a precautionary measure. Some of the cones I fastened with only glue, ended up coming apart and people had popcorn falling on their laps. That’s kind of embarrassing , isn’t it.

6. For a cute embellishment, staple or glue a little graphic onto the front. Stickers would also be fun.
7. Fill the cones with goodies of your choice and place the cones in a pretty basket.

My favorite popcorn is your amazing cinnamon bear popcorn. I make it all the time and sadly I can pretty much eat an entire batch of it all by myself. Yes, it's just that good! Thanks for sharing your yummy recipes!

Hi Jamie,

I love popcorn, caramel is good but a favorite has to be salted …. Can't go to the movies without popcorn!
I'm really enjoying your recipes and they are so inspirational – and my family are enjoying all the new dishes (although my waistline isn't ….lol)!
I've recently moved to the US from Africa and now have time on my hands – so thank you for sharing and giving me inspiration.

I like caramel popcorn that is sticky. Which is probably why my kids know it as 'sticky popcorn' rather then caramel corn. If it can't get stuck to your teeth, I don't think it is worth eating!

My favourite popcorn has lots of chocolate candies in it. Other than that, I'm not too particular what else is on it as long as it's sweet. Luckily I don't eat a lot of popcorn.
