Oh, the lovely month of June. Here she is in all her sunny glory. Summertime, summertime! My oldest two kids have been out of school for a couple of days now. It’s the darndest thing, but I think something terrible happened to their ears this past year while they were working so hard at the junior high school. They can’t seem to hear a single thing I tell them! It’s true. They are especially poor at hearing things like could you fold the laundry and would you please take out the garbage. It’s like I’m speaking another language! I think I may have noticed my daughters ears falling right off her face and rolling down the hall. Can you believe that! Ears falling, rolling and then just laying there in a dead, never-to-be-useful-again heap.
The funny and very intriguing thing is…their ears totally spark back to life and tune right in when I say things like what would you like for lunch and would anyone like to hang out and play UNO or any body want to go swimming. Just amazing, isn’t it. Cross your fingers I can come up with a solution to this very concerning issue. Maybe duct tape? Seems to work on other broken things.
If you see the two of them around town, don’t tease them about having their ears duct taped to their heads, okay. Teenagers can be kind of sensitive you know.
I have my Monthly Menu Plan for you today. As usual, colored titles are links back to previous posts. Black titles are recipes I’m working on and hoping to post in the near future. Hope you find something to love!
