November Menu Plan 2012

by Jamie

Peanut Butter Pie, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches , Ground Beef Enchilada Casserole, Butterflake Frozen Roll Dough, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Ham and Bean Soup, Meatball Marinara (Crock Pot), Quick Cheesy Garlic Bread, Rice pilaf with Almonds, Chicken Stuffed Crescent Rolls

Hey there, ladies and gentlemen. A monthly menu plan is what I have to offer you today. Because I know the people you live with are going to get hungry this month. At least three times a day, right? And though the grand and wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday will be upon us before we know it, families are bound to get hungry every day until then and every day after that and every day from now until the end of time. Take a deep breath. It can really overwhelm a person, can’t it. Let’s take it one day at a time, how ’bout. Everything just seems to better if you can tell yourself “…just one day (or one hour, or one minute) at a time…”.  At least that’s what my Mom always told me.

She’s a wise lady. 🙂

If you are looking for something to feed your family today, tomorrow and the next day just keep scrolling down. Hope you find something to love.

Hey Jamie. Just wanted to say that I love, love, love your website. The recipes are simple and easy and I love simple and easy. I have cooked the Chicken Stuffed Crescent Rolls two weeks in a row and they have been a hit each time. Thanks for sharing your recipes and your stories with us. They are both truly refreshing. Keep them coming. Be blessed and know that you are!

Okay Jamie, it’s me and you this Thanksgiving. I’m in charge of cooking Thanksgiving for 8. One guest just let me know that he’d like a ham in addition to a turkey. What’s the exchange policy for little brothers? Anyway, I’m planning and scheduling everything out today and I came across your butterflake frozen roll dough. You quite possibly just saved the day. I’m going to try them out this week, but like everything from your site, I’m sure they’ll be amazing. Your cranberry party drink will also be making an appearance. Thanks for always having great ideas and recipes!

I have had a look three times now and can’t see it. Please let me know if I have missed it as I would like to read it and also know where the spoon is going to next.

Jamie,
I have followed your site now for a couple of years and love it. Today I tried the butterflake frozen rolls. Why did my dough stretch so much when I tried to lay one strip on the other? I have always wanted to make good rolls but always have trouble shaping them. What did I do wrong this time. Also how big of a rectangle do you roll?
Thanks…have a great Thanksgiving with you famly!

Cookbookwoman,
My best guess is that you may not have let the dough rest long enough before you rolled it out. I usually roll out a rectangle about 25×15. Hope this helps. 🙂
