THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED
This past December I was sent a fabulous gift basket from Cherry Republic. Wow, was I impressed! Not only are their products high in quality, the taste of each one is simply fabulous. The chocolate covered cherries were of course wonderful…
and the Chocolate Cherry Toffee, oh mama. It is out of this world fabulous! The flavor of cherry is quite subtle in the toffee. Even MyHandsomeHusband who claims to be a “hater of all things cherry” gobbled it up.
He also loved the Cherry Salsa, the Cherry Summer Sausage, the Chocolate Covered Cherries. I carefully mentioned that perhaps he doesn’t have a hatred for cherries after all. To which he responded with “Well, I don’t hate these cherries. Every thing we have eaten from that basket is down right divine.”
And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Truth spoken straight from the biggest food critic living under this roof of mine. Cherry Republic is fantastic! If you are looking to send a package to your sweetheart this Valentines Day, consider going the Cherry Republic route. You will not be disappointed.
The nice people who own Cherry Republic have generously offered to give TWO of you lucky readers one of their sampler gift boxes. How nice! FLORIDA…..PLEASE!!!
Cherry Peanut Butter is my favorite! love it!
Love the hot cherry salsa ~ and liked Cherry Republic Facebook page!
I just click “Like” at the Cherry Republic Facebook page!
I really like the trail mix ad the dark chocolate coverd cherries, but all things cherry are good!
Our home has Cherry Republic goodies stashed upstairs and downstairs….a result of our first visit to The Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor this past summer.
Out of the vast selection I have hoarded, I have to say the Imperial Chocolate Covered Cherries are my favorite. Their bright red chocolate outer covering shouts “eat me! The layered affect of 2 coatings of chocolate, combined with the tartness of the prize within….a cherry (of course), really tests my self discipline.
They can be eaten a number of ways. Slowly….letting all the chocolate melt in your mouth before biting into the cherry OR…. Nibbling through the layers of chocolate and savoring a bit of cherry with every bite OR…just popping the whole piece into your mouth (followed by many others) and munching down as the firm outer red layer combines with the smooth inner layer of chocolate and the cherry.
No matter how I eat the Imperial Chocolate Covered Cherries I relish them completely. Yup! Gotta say I love them!!
I love all their products but really like to buy the dried cherries so I can cook and bake with them…think crusty cherry/pecan bread straight out of the oven…yum
OMG. Original cherry salsa. We have been hooked on it since going to the shop in Glen Arbor years ago when we visited Michigan. We now stop there every summer & load up on the salsa & other cherry products & then order more from Montana throughout the year, LOL.
I’d “like” on Facebook, but alas….I’ve chosen not to use Facebook. Again…a self-disipline issue.
I just liked Cherry republic on Facebook
I’d like to try the chocolate cherry toffee.
I love Cherry Republic!
My uncle suffers from gout and nothing much had helped. He started eating the dried cherries from Cherry Republic and his gout cleared up. When he quit eating the cherries, the gout returned. Since he told me about it, I’ve shared his story with a neighbor who suffers from gout. Now I eat them, too. Not for gout but for the good taste and general good health. They are great alone, on ice cream, or just sprinkled on a salad. YUM!
I absolutely love the dark chocolate covered cherries!!
I gotta say it is the Hot Cerry Salsa. I use it in a recipe called Cherry Chicken Chili and it is sooo good!
I would love to get some of that salsa and share it with the international students I am rooming with while on the Disney College Program in Florida!
Your Customer Service Dept. is wonderful!!
I also love the dark chocolate covered cherries and malted milk balls.
Our family has tried so many of Cherry Republic’s products over the years and have liked them all! And now I’ve “liked” the Facebook page too!
If I had to pick a favorite though, I’d have to say that the dark chocolate covered cherries are dangerously addictive!
By the way, I enjoyed taking a look at all the yummy recipes posted here, Jamie. I’ll be back!
Cherry Republic is so good at finding yet more ways to enjoy our Michigan cherries. Beginning with the fabulous Boomchukka cookies (which I don’t see anymore) and the trail mix which I don’t leave home without, we have loved the Republic products for years. New must-try is Cherry Peanut Butter – who knew?
The dried cherries are to die for and when you put them in homemade Oatmeal cookies or hot oatmeal, nothing beats them. I have made dozens and dozens of oatmeal cookies with dried cherries and they just vanish.
We are in Tucson for the winter and just finished our jar of Dark Sweet Cherry Jam:(
I waited all summer for it! I also love their cherry rhubarb preserves! Those are my favorites but right behind is the salsa, dark chocolate covered cherries, dark chocolate boomchunkas, confiscated mix, montmorency and ballaton dried cherries!!!
I liked cherry Republic…of course I did!
I love the dark chocolate covered cherries!

But my favorite isn’t there! Ever year, without fail, my family buys the sour-patch cherries. We get other things [I love the chocolate-covered cherries and want to try the toffee and coffee cake], but… The year they were out of sour-patch cherries, we managed to talk them in to selling us one of the five-pound bags they brought to keep the sample bowl stocked. No regrets.
>_> Have also just liked the FB page. Not sure how that hadn’t happened earlier.
Just got my order of dried cherries, dark chocolate covered cherries and tart cherry juice. The dark chocolate covered cherries are addictive and the dried cherries are so versatile. Love them both and am looking forward to trying the tart cherry juice!
I happily clicked “like” on the Cherry Republic FB page!
I grew up in Traverse City back in the 70’s, and whenever I flew home for a visit, I always looked for the Cherry Republic Cherry Almond Butter at the airport. (That was way before there was a Cherry Republic Store in Traverse City). OMG, that is the best stuff – it tastes like cherry pie filling in a jar. Be prepared to take a spoonful “just to try it” and then discover that the jar is completely empty, so that there’s not any left to try on toast (which is also a highly delicious way of consuming it!) I’ve thought of just buying a whole case so I won’t run out so fast, but I think that would be way too dangerous… I live in New Mexico and still order Cherry Republic goodies frequently for friend and family, and, I must confess, for myself! Last year I sent myself of package of my favorites (including, of course, the Cherry Almond Butter, along with the ever-scrumptious Milk Chocolate Covered Cherries), and I even talked the friendly staff member who took my order to include a card that said,
“Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Eating, Happy Munching, Happy Cherries to me!” Finally, want to say that I love trying the new Cherry goodies that the good folk at Cherry Republic keep inventing. My next taste test is to be the Chocolate Cherry Toffee. My 58th birthday is coming up (March 10th). I’m seriously hoping/praying that this long and colorful comment will be enough to win the gift box (that I also hope will include the toffee!) Thanks, Cherry Republic, not only for fun and delicious products, but also for the always entertaining and informative Orchard Report, and for the generous, fun approach you have to life!
I am a Cherry Republic groupie…..yes , I am…….I’m obsessed with all things cherry. My husband and I and our 2 kids spend a week in a Glen Arbor every summer. I’ve ordered many gift boxes for friends and family. What I really want is a bottle of the Cherry Red Wine and some of the new cherry toffee….I’ve yet to try the toffee. All this cold weather and snow has given me the winter blues, a little surprise from the republic is just what a girl needs!
Chocolate Cherry Toffee!! They did not have that at the stores when we vacationed there two summers ago. The best day of our Michigan vacation was when we visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, rode the bike trails nearby and swam in Lake Michigan. We ate lunch and dinner at Cherry Republic!
The dark chocolate covered cherries sound so amazing. Tart cherries and sweet chocolate….yum! And who doesn’t love cherry granola with a cup of cherry coffee?
Love Cherry Republic! I send my family gifts from C.R. and it is always a hit. 🙂
Love the choc covered cherries – just had some for dessert tonight! Also, LIKED on FB tonight.
Oh, where to begin! The Dark Chocolate Cherry Nut Mix, Dark Chocolate Cherry Turtles, Cherry Poppyseed Vinaigrette and Salsa’s all rate high on my list of favorites. I haven’t tried the Chocolate Cherry Toffee…think I’ll order some right now!
I just clicked “like” on the Cherry Republic FB site
Love the summer cherry sausage.
Also liked th fb page.
Tough choice!! I’m going with the salsa as my top pick
Every time we have given the Boom chukka cookies people love them. The real canned cherries make amazing pies. The cherries in glass jars are also very tasty to use in desserts. The spicy hot Salsa is great for these who think they dont like cherries! Our son in LA would love to get cherrygiftbasketatanytime….
I have ordered a few times and the whole process was simple and accurate, the food delicious and my Le Cordon Bleu pastry chef son in Virginia can now cook up some wonderful pastries with Michigan cherry products!!
I purchased a few items for my husband’s 50th birthday because he is a lover of all things cherry. We are now officially hooked on Cherry Republic!!!
I dream of one day taking our Airstream to Cherry Republic to get our fix!And to see all these beautiful places I read about…..
Cherry sour candies!
Cherry Republics has been one of my favorite places for many, many years. I love their cherry salsa and the cherry malt balls.
If you’ve never had a Boomchunka (especially the White Chocolate ones), you don’t know what you are missing! I also love the Cherry Salsa in their Chili recipe that Cherry Republic shared with me. I’m sure they would love to share it with you too?!!
I got hooked on Cherry Republic several years ago when we were visiting friends in Michigan. Since then I have ordered Cherry Republic for teachers gifts, secretary gifts, sent some to my nephew’s family while stationed in Okinawa, and now I am sending Cherry Republic to my daughter at college.
I’ve been to Traverse City twice, which the 2nd time I knew I would never leave TC without having stopped at Cherry Republic, my favorite Cherry place to shop that I visited my 1st trip there! My personal favorites (so far) are the original Cherry salsa and Cherry Berry Jam, but I didn’t leave th store before also buying gifts for my family that I know they’d love. They are hoping I will visit Traverse City again and bring back some more goodies from Cherry Republic. And I’m not making that up! That Cherry salsa is so good that I can almost taste it now.
