Weekly Menu Plan Mar. 9-15

by Jamie

Are you ready to start another week? They just keep rolling by at record speed, am I right! I swear, the older you get, the faster time goes by. Just yesterday I was pushing a stroller with twin babies in it, and this morning I woke up to a houseful of teenagers. Not sure how that happened and no one living here can explain it either. It just is, how it is. Which is really great, fun, hilarious at times, super frustrating during others and extremely rewarding. When I started this blog more than 5 years ago, I used to share a lot of stories about my kids. I’ve stopped doing that as much because, well…they are older and don’t care for having the ins and out of their daily life reported here. Who can blame them. 🙂  I read an article this week (at Home Sanctuary) about mothering older kids. I loved it and thought it worth passing on to any of you who are in my same boat. Here’s the link. No pressure, just something I enjoyed and thought you might too.

I have some great recipes lined up for us all this week! Hope you find something to love!

Jamie: thank you for the link to Home Sanctuary and the piece on parenting older children. I am a GM and am watching my children struggle through this time with my grandsons. There is not enough time in a life to forget that time with my own children, either. However, the author is correct- time has a way of making it all work out! My children are wonderful adults with great educations, good jobs and they are fantastic parents and adult role models plus, at times, they are SO FUN!! Hang in there, parents and GP of teenagers–this too shall pass!
