Do you see this beautiful statue? It’s called Christ Redeemer and is in Brazil.
I love it. I’m amazed by it!
A few years ago I lost a whole afternoon googling pictures of it, and reading about it’s origins. When my kids came home from school, I showed them pictures and told them all of the cool things I found out about it. They each just looked at me and said “Mom, haven’t you heard about it before! It’s been around forever. It’s even in Rio”. (…an animated movie they love and watch frequently while I am doing other things like cooking, I would imagine, since I didn’t know about the statue…)
Anyhow, I love it and have been fascinated by it (even if I only learned of it in the past few years!). I would love, love. love to see it someday in person. It’s on my bucket list.
I came across a music video for How Great Thou Art (one of my favorite hymns) by The Piano Guys that is filmed with the Christ Redeemer statue. I couldn’t help but share it with you all on this Easter weekend. It’s so beautiful, both to look at and to listen to. Hope you enjoy it…
Look how majestic that is. Truly so, so beautiful.
Leaving you, on this Easter weekend, with one of my favorite scriptures written by the apostle Paul…
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
