Now, dear reader…it might seem a bit odd to you to see me post a recipe for grilled hot dogs, but trust me, these Grilled Western Hot Dogs are a step above your typical dog. Trust me on this one won’t you?

Western Hot Dogs with Text_edited-1

My sister in law Mary made these yummy grilled dogs for us over the Memorial Day weekend and we all loved them. They take the plain old ordinary grilled dog to a new level. All you need do is grill some all beef hot dogs, place them on a high quality bun and add some American cheese, a strip of crispy bacon and some Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce and you are golden, my friends. They are a yummy way to enjoy summer!

  1. If you do see Sabrett Hot Dogs, pick up a package. Just about every push cart in NYC has a Sabrett umbrella over the top. At one time or another, over the years, it was the official hot dog of the Yankees, Mets and Red Sox. The best brand I have ever had. We can buy them at Publix but that is a Southern grocery chain and may not be available everywhere. The bacon wrap is a great addition!!
