Merry Christmas, dear readers! I hope the coming holiday is wonderful and filled with happiness for you and your family.

I will be taking a little time off next week (no new recipe posts) but will be posting my annual list of favorite recipes from 2016 as well as the most viewed recipes of the year. It’s always fun to look back and see what recipes you all loved the most!

But first, I wanted to leave you with a few Christmas music videos we been loving this year. Just in case you are looking for a little something wonderful to put you in the Christmas spirit!

This is a super fun rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas preformed by the Count von Count (yes, from Sesame Street) and organist Richard Elliot. My kids especially love this one.

Angels We Have Heard on High performed by The Piano Guys, David Archuletta and Peter Hollens and over 1,000 more individuals. It’s amazing!

Silent Night performed by David Archuletta and The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel performed by The Piano Guys. I know I have shared this video in the past, but couldn’t help sharing it again. It’s my very favorite Christmas song, and this particular arrangement combined with the depiction of Christs birth is so touching. I hope you enjoy it!

I have been so grateful this season for extra opportunities to ponder the life of Christ and to reflect on his teachings. Many of you may be familiar with the LIGHTtheWORLD campaign (read about it HERE) that has been put on by the LDS church this past season. Basically, it is an advent calendar giving a daily example of one particular Christ like attribute and then suggestions on how we might strive to be more like him in that way, on that particular day. My family and I have tried to read from the calendar daily. I can’t say we have been perfect in our pursuit (you know how crazy December can be!) but we have read many nights during the month. I’ve loved it. It has been my favorite part of the season, truly. There is something amazing and beautiful about studying the life of Christ and trying to exemplify it…even in the smallest of actions. It brings so much light and such comforting peace.

“For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Such a wonderful promise.

My love to all of you!
