Creamy Spinach Dip

by Jamie
 In a perfect world,
the picture above would contain a beautiful round loaf of bread, hollowed out with this wonderful dip nestled into the center.
I might have shown you how scrumptious it looks to scoop up the dip with heavenly slices of Fabulous French Bread. Everyone who has ever tried this fabulous dip is in L.O.V.E.

I might have shown you all of this,
in a perfect food blogging world.
It is what I would have done for you, my friends.
As it were,
the beautiful round loaf of Fabulous French Bread
I made (just for you to gaze at)
sat wrapped up on my counter for no less than 5 days.
Waiting, and waiting for a photo shoot.
Then it got cut in two and turned into a French Bread Pizza.
Because, my world is not perfect.
And good heavens, neither am I.
And….I needed easy pizza for dinner.
And 5 day old Fabulous French Bread isn’t fabulous,
unless you turn it into something else.
So, in your minds eye.
Picture this Creamy Spinach Dip with Fabulous French Bread.
The two need each other.
If you are planning a Super Bowl Party this weekend, invite the two of them over. I think you will be pleased with your choice.
I might even say….
the choice
would
be

Perfect.

Creamy Spinach Dip
Time: 10 minutes + 2 hours refrigeration
Yield: 4 Cups
Recipe adapted from Knorr
1  1.4 oz Vegetable Recipe Mix by Knorr seasonings
1  10 oz  package baby spinach, chopped
2 C sour cream
1 C mayonnaise (I like Best Foods Light)
1/2 C carrots or celery, chopped
3 green onions, chopped

1. Chop up your spinach into very small pieces. Do the same with the carrots and green onions. Small….like about the size of a pea. No one wants to scoop up some yummy dip on a piece of delectable bread and have a big fat carrot hanging out on the end of it. Not yum. Make them small. Little tiny.
2. Mix all ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
3. Serve with pieces of French Bread. You can slice the bread, or just rip into small chunks. It’s also yummy to dip veggies in. Enjoy!

Jaime – Love the dip recipe. Will be making it this weekend with the french bread. After looking up bread recipe (love the pictures) I am confused on the type of mixer and attachment you are using. Can you please help this egghead?? Thanks.

Dear Egg Head (cute name!),
Hope you found the into you needed! I use a Bosch for the Wheat Bread, Sweet Rolls and Holiday Crescent Rolls and any time I double the Fabulous French Bread. I use a Kitchen Aid for everything else. Good luck! Hope you get what you need.

I have a Baptism tomorrow and was asked to bring something for the luncheon and this will be perfect. I will definitely be making your french bread recipe to go along with it…I've been making it every week since I found the recipe. It is quick and delicious! You have a wonderful site 🙂

Hello, I've been checking out your blog for awhile now, and just love it. I told my mom, sisters and friends all about your blog. You are so funny, I love all your humor and I love your recipes. I made your fluffy dinner rolls, orange rolls, blueberry muffins and waffles, all last week. I've never made anything like that homemade before and I was inspired by all your pictures and instructions, and it was so fun! Thank you Thank you. I'm trying your hawaiian chicken this week and the beach street one too. Keep it up my weekly menu's are so much more fun now! I'm looking forward to the brocolli soup recipe!
