Raspberry Cream Cheese Pretzel Salad

by Jamie
Since you are so nice and lovely…
You most likely get invited to nice places with nice people!
Neighborhood gatherings,
Baby Showers,
Church Pot Lucks,
Family BBQs,
Meet and Greets,
Linger Longers,
 Baptisms,
Sit on Santa’s Lap Why Don’t Ya,
Lets All Try And Find A Bunch Of Eater Eggs…
you attend these functions
don’t you?
(I knew you did. Because you are so very nice and lovely.)

Next time you are invited…
make this Raspberry Cream Cheese and Pretzels Salad.
You will instantly be the most loved person at the party.
People will start to say things like….
“Who brought THAT salad.”
and
“Get out of town…that is GOOO-HOOOD.”
and
“Excuse me, but could I please get
married to the maker of that salad.”
and
“Shut the front door, the back door and all of the windows.
Heavenly bliss is in our midst.”

Seriously.
Just trust me.
You want to bring this salad with you.
I got this recipe out of a wonderful cookbook I have been reading.
Bless Your Heart
recipes by Patsy Caldwell and stories by Amy Lyles Wilson. The recipes in this book are very family friendly and look delicious. Fabulous food isn’t the only treasure lingering in the pages. There are great stories written throughout that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. It is a heartwarming read, to be truthful.
Thomas Nelson Publishing Company has graciously agreed to give away a copy of this wonderful book…
to three of you.
Nice!
That is very nice and lovely, indeed.
To enter the giveaway leave me a comment telling me the dish/recipe you like to bring most to a gathering.
You know, like….Triple Chocolate Heavenly Bliss
or Strawberry Shortcake Dessert of Wonder
or A Bag Of Chips I Was Really Busy.
(Don’t be ashamed…everyone likes chips.)
What ever you like to bring….tell me all about it. Please leave your email address in your comment, so I can contact you if you are one of the lucky winners.
You may enter until midnight on Sunday April 24th, winner will be announced on Monday morning April 25th.
One entry per person.

1. Throw those pretzels in a small food processor and grind them into coarse crumbs.

2. Add your melted butter and 3 T sugar. Mix until combined.
3. Press the pretzel mixture into a 9×13 pan and bake at 400 degrees for 13 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

4. In your stand mixer, or in a medium sized mixing bowl beat the cream cheese until smooth.  Add your sugar and mix for about 4 minutes.

5. Add the cool whip and mix for one minute, or until everything is well combined.

6. Heat your water up in the microwave until it is boiling. Add the jello and stir until it is all nice and dissolved.

7. Pour in your raspberries and stir to combine. Place the bowl in your fridge until the mixture has thickened up a bit. (Like syrup, at least. If it has set up more that that…no worries. The recipe will still be wonderful.)
8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the top of the crust.

9. Pour the beautiful raspberry jello on top, cover and chill for at least 4 hours.

See that pretty little crust under there?
It’s going to be a friend maker.
OR maybe even a marriage maker…
You never know….Salad can be a really powerful tool.

Happy Easter, everyone!
See you back here on Monday!

I received the cookbook Bless Your Heart from the Thomas Nelson Publishing Company. I received no compensation for this post, or my review of the book. All ideas and thoughts in the post are my own.

I have tried Raspberry Cream Cheese Pretzel Salad, Its VERY GOOD! What I am bringing to Easter dinner is Strawberry Ambrosia. Frozen (thawed) Strawberries, Mandarins, mini marshmallows and Vanilla yogurt all mixed together. I am just starting to learn how to cook/bake, so I love trying new things and bring something new to gatherings.

I try to mix it up a bit. I love to bring a dessert, but often there are too many of them. I like to bring Italian Confetti Pasta Salad. Yummy, and colorful. We have Pretzel Salad often around here. Sometimes with raspberries, sometimes with strawberries. My husband says it's a salad, I swear it's a dessert. But I'll call it a salad if that means we can have another dessert too 🙂

I am usually in charge of the dinner rolls, though the last one we went to was a quick bag of chips purchase…I also like to take dessert. 🙂
The mac and cheese on the cover of the cookbook looks scrumptious! Hopefully I am a lucky winner!

I like to take an “overloaded chocolate cake.” It's just chocolate box cake with a box of pudding mix and delicious homemade frosting for the best, easiest chocolate cake you ever ate. But, people seem to think you're a miracle worker when you make cake that good! 🙂

I bring muddy buddies to gatherings! Everyone loves them and it's a snacking food instead of a sit down and eat it food. Who doesn't love to snack?

Thanks!

I haven't made that 'salad' for a while…I really should thaw some of my raspberries and make some…I consider it a dessert though it's that good!
One recipe I'm asked to bring all the time is my Broccoli Slaw…it is fantastic!
I'd love a copy of that book…some wonderful browsing minutes ahead for the winner.

I love to bring either good, old fashioned rolls or a nice deep dish apple pie. Because, let's face it, everyone loves rolls, and my husband can't get enough of apple pie in case he doesn't like anything else there!

As a lover of Strawberry Pretzel Salad I'm all over this recipe. How come I've never thought to use raspberries instead of strawberry! Another one of those why-didn't-I-think-to-do-that things. LOL

It depends on my mood what I take to gatherings. Usually its dessert..Chocolate Heaven Dessert or a Lemon version of it. When I'm not in the sweets mood I like to take a southwestern layered salad.

I don't have one recipe I always take – balsamic black bean salsa, fresh homemade bread/rolls, chocolate marshmallow cake, caramel rice krispy bars are yummy, it just depends. And I believe you can never have too many cookbooks, just ask my husband who is groaning and rolling his eyes!!! (He does enjoy the yummy recipes, don't be fooled 🙂
