Trix Krispie Treats

by Jamie
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
Since it’s Wednesday and all,
we are due for another
kid friendly post.

Because you and I both know…
kids are always
just hanging around
everywhere in the summer!
And sometimes they need something to do…
And it might as well be something to do in the kitchen, right?
And it might as well be something that’s easy to put together…
And tastes fun…
And looks fun…
How about these Trix Krispie Treats?
A really darling
(really skinny and pretty and darling)
friend of mine brought
this recipe to a church function recently.
I thought they were a cute and yummy!
I had a hunch you might enjoy them as well.
Let’s give them a whirl, shall we?

Trix Krispie Treats
Time: 10 minutes + 15 minutes to set
Yield: 15 large squares
Recipe adapted from the lovely Tiffany Britton
12 C Trix Cereal
1  10.5 oz package miniature marshmallows
4 T butter
dash salt

1. Toss your butter into a large pot. Let it melt over medium heat.
2. Add your marshmallows
and a dash of salt. Stir the mixture while the marshmallows melt being careful to not let it burn to the bottom of the pan.
3. When the marshmallows are almost completely melted remove the pan from the heat and add your Trix Cereal. Stir it well. You want everything to be nicely coated.
4. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray and spoon the treats into the pan. I like to spray the palms of my hands with cooking spray and then use them to press the treats into place.
5. Allow the treats to cool and set up for about 15 minutes. Then cut and serve.

Enjoy!

These are so colorful; they make me happy just looking at them. I have got to make them for my grandkadiddles. I don't know why I get stuck in that “Rice Krispies only” mode for this kind of snack.

Did you know that businesses all around the world are hiring people just like you to help manage their social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube?
There is a lot of money in it, and the best part is that you don’t need any qualifications, prior experience or specialized skills. All you need is a few spare hours per week, a computer with an internet connection and a good knowledge of how to use Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.
