October Menu Plan 2011

by Jamie

Yesterday my family and I went for a drive through
Butterfield Canyon.
The leaves are just beginning to change and the air was crisp and cool. We had a great time and the scenery was
absolutely beautiful.
Fall is really such a glorious time of year, isn’t it?
And here you and I are…lucky to be living and breathing in the month of
October all ready!
Time really flies when you are having fun…
and when you’re old.
For those who are younger than me, like for instance…
those who are 5 years old
time really drags on and on and on.
If I had a nickle for every time one of my little boys has asked me…

“How many more days until Halloween?”
Um….about 30.

“You said it was 30 more days yesterday Mom.”
I’m not very good at Math.

“Is 30 the same as 10 threes?”

Last time I checked….

“Why haven’t we put up our Halloween things yet Mom?”
I’m afraid of ladders.
And math.

“Is Halloween tomorrow?”
Nope.

“Is Halloween today?”
Not even close.

“Why not?”

We’ve still got a lot of days until then.

“How many more days until Halloween….and don’t say 30.”

Twenty Nine.
And that’s my final answer.
At least for today.

We went for a hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon yesterday and the leaves were absolutely stunning. How I love this time of year! I am so impressed that you do month-long menu plans. I can barely put one together for one week!
