A couple of weeks ago I received this lovely PAM® Cooking Spray in the mail. I was eager to try it and see if it really was better than the generic brand I have been buying for years.
If you follow this blog regularly, you may have noticed my favorite generic brand hanging out in a lot of my tutorial pictures. I buy it because it’s cheap, and I go through it like crazy with all of the cooking and baking that I do. Spending the extra money to buy the name brand PAM Cooking Spray always seemed luxurious and unneeded.
Until I tried the spray.
It’s better. A LOT better than the generic brand I am used to. PAM Cooking Spray has recently been improved and is said to now be 70% better than the generic brand.
It is, my friends.
I have been using PAM Spray for all of my cooking needs this past week and I am seriously amazed at how much better it works. My scrambled eggs don’t fasten themselves to the pan with a vengeance. Cookies slide off the pan with ease.
I baked a batch of French Bread too long, and it left a crispy mess all over my pans. Once I got the dirty caked-on pans in the sink I grabbed my pick ax (ok, it was really just my scrub brush) and readied myself to get rid of the mess. Much to my surprise, the mess came off of the pan with ease and took much less time to clean than usual. Which freed up my schedule so I could bury my pick ax in the back yard.
Why use a pick ax when you can use PAM Cooking Spray, right?
Besides making clean up much easier, PAM Cooking Spray comes with a great nozzle that sprays evenly and well. I have been frustrated in the past with my generic spray nozzle backing up and then breaking off before I had used the entire can.
Why I didn’t try PAM Cooking Spray before now is a mystery. 🙂
Another recipe I made this week using PAM Cooking Spray was Stuffed Jumbo Shells. I have experienced treacherous clean up with this recipe in the past and was eager to see how PAM would handle this circumstance. I sprayed the pan well, assembled the ingredients, let it bake, and then we enjoyed this yummy recipe for dinner. It tasted great and the clean up was seriously a breeze.
No pick ax necessary.
Which is lucky since I buried the thing in the back yard.
PAM Cooking Spray, ladies and gentlemen.
I highly recommend it.

Awesome! I love Pam and use it all the time. My favorite recipe is everyday I have a fried egg sandwich. I take 1/4 cup of egg beaters and 1/4 cup of egg beater egg whites and cook them in my perfectl sized fry pan sprayed with PAM 🙂 Then I put is on a slice of toast with a slice of cheese on top! yum! I use Pam for when I make Caramel Pecan Monkey Bread. None of those scrumptious bits are left in the pan for me to chisel out!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Pam and use it with everything!!! I love it so much that I just spray them for the heck of it! 🙂 I guess if I had to pick one, it'd be brownies or cookies! It makes life much easier!
We use it for a LOT of things but I especially like it for muffins!
I……like you…….tried to save money by using a Generic Brand….or two! I ended up spending more money on having to buy more pans because my pick-ax put holes in all of my other pans after scraping and picking all the crud off. Pam is CHEAPER at Costco…by the way. I literally use it for everything, from broiling asparagus (I spray it on top as well) to Zucchini and all things in between!! Love the stuff! Love your blog!!
I use it for everything it seems but I like the butter flavored Pam lightly sprayed on popcorn.
I use Pam for all my cooking/baking, but it is the best when making banana chocolate chip muffins I spray the cupcake liners and no sticking to the liners like muffins often do. :0)

Homemade bread. I bake it every other week and the loaves just slide right out when I'm done!
Eggs over medium. Nothing worse than your egg sticking when you try to flip it!

I spray my bread pans with Pam when I make bread.
I use Pam for pretty much every dish. I cry when I run out because it works so well and I don't want to grease my pans any other way. I especially like to use it for my muffins because I put a cumbly topping on them that sticks to my pans and is a bugger to scrape off. That being said….I have recently tried spraying my measuring cups before knifing the Crisco into them. Okay, so I sprayed it with the no name brand but would love to try it with PAM because it worked pretty good with the no name and Pam is SOOO much better.

i use pam whenever i bake/cook. i buy the big cans of original from costco and always have it on hand. i also LOVE the pam for baking (with flour i believe) but it is harder to find sometimes. this for sure is one of the products you need to pay the difference from generic because there is a difference in the outcome! <3
new to twitter but i did share this via twitter. here is the link: https://twitter.com/#!/Wrap2LoveUrBody/status/164960483043061760. hope i win! $$$
Brownies! PAM saves my life when it comes to getting brownies out of the pan. Love it!
I use Pam for all my baking/cooking. My favorite recipe that includes PAM is Ham, onion & Mushroom Omelets. It tastes good and I can flip it easily without breaking it or sticking.

I've always used Pam cooking spray!! It helps make my Goldfish Chicken recipe easier to serve.
I'm not sure what I don't use Pam for!! Definately the sticky recipes like Pecan Tassies and the messy ones like Lasagna. It's also great to use in the slow cooker!

My favorite cornbread just slips out of the pan when I use PAM! What a genius invention.
I use Pam on my baked potatoes. Instead of wrapping my potatoes in tinfoil… I spray a little of Pam on them and sprinkle some salt on the top and then bake away. The baked potatoes come out crispy, just like a restaurant.

I have used Pam for many, many years. It is the best non-stick cooking spray on the market. My husband also loves to use it on the grill.

I’m a ex-colleague of your wife. First, congrat to your new born duthgaer! I’ve also thought of giving birth at home (in water), but finally chose to give birth at hospital. I argee very much that when I was on the labor bed, it was very passive. I tried to use hypnobirthing but it only works before I enter the labor room. Much appreciate your choice and happy to learn that it was sucessful and poistive! Awaiting for your wife’s sharing. Highly consider to give birth at home next time!Rgds,Kris
I use Pam for nearly everything I put in the oven. Cookies, cakes, brownies, casseroles, breads, you name it!
I use Pam for muffins, lasagna, enchiladas and pretty much anything else I put in my oven. It is very handy!
Thanks!
A killer omlette!
I have a Popcorn/Candy Wreath that I make for holidays that I can't make w/out Pam. The stickiest of sticky marshmallow popcorn goodness slides right out of my bundt pan. It's a lifesaver!
I love to use Pam cooking spray when making turkey burgers on the BBQ. They never stick! Much better than hassling with tin foil.
