Can you believe it’s September! I can’t. Truly, last time I stopped to think I swear it was July. I better stop to think a little more often. Holy cats. No wonder I sometimes lose my keys only to find them in my pocket. Yes, I believe it will be my September resolution to stop and think a bit more, how about you? You most likely don’t need to make resolutions like that because I bet you can think clearly every second of the day and even do tricky math equations like, say…8 times 9. Which is still a mystery to me. 🙂
This morning when MyHandsomeHusband left for work he said something like…”what are your plans for the day”. I gave him a rundown of my morning responsibilities and then said…”Once 2:30 hits, I’m just going to be in the car. Driving and driving and picking up and dropping off and saying how was your day sweetheart (five times), and listening to Taylor Swift while I taxi these children around town so they can have a wonderful life and go to things like water polo practice, the dentist, the library and…school.”
He was impressed.
He always wanted a taxi driver for a wife. Imagine if I start to think clearly as well! Boy, the man won’t know what has hit him.
8 times 9 is 72….72…..72……72.
I think I may even try to commit it to memory. Might be handy information to know.
Orange Chicken and Vegetable Stir Fry
I have my September Menu Plan for you today. I have included a lot of recipes that can be made in the morning, and then left baking in the afternoon or cooking in the crock pot. Afternoons can get hectic around here! It’s nice to have dinner taken care of early on in the day. Hope you find something to love. 🙂
As usual, colored titles are links back to previous posts. Black titles are recipes I’m working on and hoping to post in the near future.

Oh, this sounds wonderful! I just found your blog through Pinterest and saw this menu plan today…..I will be trying out several of these suggestions…..thank you so much for taking the time to share with us – sometimes, I get bogged down in the day to day cooking and need some inspiration to liven up our meals!

hey with the creamy ranch chicken instead of spraying the crock pot can a liner be used with this recipe also if a family member REALLY hates garlic can that be left out
Judy,
I haven’t ever used crock pot liners, but I would imagine it would work fine. You can leave the garlic out, you just might need to season the mashed potatoes with a bit more butter and salt. Good luck! Hope you love it.

thanks ,jamie you need to try the liners especilly if you r making stew or chili very very easy clean up,by the way we tried the creamy chicken tacos they were a big hit
I’v tried some of your recipes. looking forward hearing about the recipe for Lasagna Soup with Gooey Cheese Rolls. love to make soups when the weather starts to cool.
Jamie,
Someone told me about your website and I am so excited about all the information and cooking ideas you have. I saw the monthly meal plan section and I am confused on what this is. I dont see a receipe for everyday. Please explain.
Thank you and looking forward to visiting often.
Hi Tiffany,
My monthly menu plans are a way to highlight some of the recipes I have previously posted (that I make for my family on a regular basis), and as a way for me to let readers know what I am working on and planning to post in the future. I use it as my guide for the month. I don’t schedule each recipe to a day…because I need to have a little wiggle room and see what comes up with my families schedule, and what meal fits best with paticular days. I usually choose 4-5 of the recipes from the plan per week and go from there. Hope you enjoy the site.

I lost my recipe for fluffy dinner rolls after I made it the other day – and mis-remembered what it was called. And looked EVERYWHERE for it and nearly lost my cookies when i couldn’t find it. Imagine my ecstasy when I came across it when taking another look at “September Menus”! I only recently discovered your site and already couldn’t live without it! Thank you very, very much! And I love your cheery breezy happy chat! xoxoxoxox shron.
