The message above captures my feelings and thoughts exactly. Posting a recipe and going on and on about butter and sugar seemed pretty unimportant today. If you have been directly impacted by the terrible events of last Fridays shooting please know that my family and I are praying for you and your loved ones. We are praying and praying that  you will feel the comforting arms of God supporting you through these heartbreaking days.

If you would like to donate, The United Way has set up a fund to help the families and community in Sandy Hook/Newtown, CT.

  1. Tragedies like this bring so many problems to the forefront of our consciousness. We must remember however that every day around the world many, many children die from hunger, murder, abuse, neglect, accident and illness. Let’s remember ALL the suffering in our nightly prayers.

  2. Thank you so much for this post. Thank you. My prayers are constantly on my mind for those families and that community right now.

  3. Thank you Jamie. My nephew is a student at Sandy Hook Elementary.
He escaped, and we are one of the lucky, fortunate families. It has been a very trying,
Emotional time for our family. Our prayers go out to the families of the victims.
I have cried all weekend for them. Thank you for your post….
