THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED
Today, I am lamenting the conclusion of summer and all of the wonderful things that go with it, such as…sleeping in, reading great books, being with my kids all day long and making homemade ice cream! To cheer myself up, I would love to give an amazing Cuisinart Pure Indulgence 2-Quart Automatic Frozen Yogurt, Sorbet, and Ice Cream Maker to one of you dear readers. Last year, I bought the Cuisinart 1 1/2 Quart Ice Cream Maker and love, love, love it. Except for one small detail. It only makes 1 1/2 quarts and I really want it to make 2 quarts. I asked it kindly if it would please produce an extra half quart, and it has tried. And it does a great job, if you don’t mind ice cream pouring down the sides of the machine at the end of each mixing cycle. You can’t say the old girl didn’t give its all. Small error on my part by ordering a smaller machine than I wanted. I thought I was buying big. Note to self. 🙂
Anyhow, the Cuisinart has many wonderful features. I love it for these reasons.
It comes with a bowl you store in your freezer. When you are ready to make ice cream, you take the bowl out and place it in the machine. Then you pour your fabulous ingredients into it, turn it on and in 30 minutes you have soft serve ice cream. No rock salt required. No super loud banging noises heard. It is amazing!
Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream & Dessert Book is also wonderful. I have loved everything I have made from it, including the fabulous Coconut Ice Cream recipe I shared with you all last week. I am giving a copy of it away along with the Cuisinart.
To enter the giveaway you just have to do one important thing.
Leave me a comment below telling me 1) What you loved most this past summer and 2) Your favorite ice cream flavor. That’s it. You don’t have to pin it, like it or tweet it. 🙂 Giveaway will be open until Sunday August 25th. Winner will be announced here and contacted through email on Monday August 26th.
Good luck!

This has been the first summer I haven’t work since I started working as a teenager and it has been wonderful to spend the time off with my family enjoying the summer. And after 40 years of waiting for a girl to add to our family, we had our first grandaughter born and we have been babysitting her two days a week all summer. She is such a joy and a delight; we just can’t get enough of her. The time off has also allowed me to get more creative cooking in and thanks to your blog we have had some wonderful dishes. Keep ’em coming.
