THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED
The weather is starting to warm up here in Utah, but back a few weeks ago this is what it looked like at Bear Lake. It was like an eternal winter. Truly. I couldn’t imagine where all that snow would go.
We invited up a few of our close friends to hang out with us. We hid out in the warm cabin while buckets and buckets of snow came showering down.
I could swear there was at least 4 feet of fresh snow.
We didn’t mind a bit. We chatted, and visited…played some cards…
indulged in a few delicious confections. Might I recommend this fabulous Almond Joy creamer. Please pour it in a mug of hot chocolate at your earliest convenience. It’s heaven in a cup, baby.
After we had been inside for quite a while, a few choice individuals couldn’t stand it one minute longer. The eternal winter was closing in, man. This particular wild cat threw off her comfy socks, rolled up her pjs and just Let It Go, baby. Can you believe all that deep snow out there!
She couldn’t believe it either. For The First Time In Forever, she ran around in circles with snow up to her knee caps.
And then, my guests started dropping like flies. Out into the snow they went…
running and jumping around like they didn’t have a care in the world. I may or may not have passed out on the living room floor from laughing so hard. Now, I don’t know much, but there is one thing I know for sure…I always want to have wonderful people around to laugh at with. That familiar saying about laughter being the best medicine? It rings true for me.
Running through the snow in your bare feet is funny to watch, but it turns out to be a little more pleasant when you put your shoes and socks back on. Note to self.
Cool cat.
Whoa, who let that girl with the yellow hat out of her cage? The hat was 25 cents at Walmart, okay. I just could pass it up. Now that I see it from a distance and on my actual head, I may never wear it again. Another note to self.
We did a bit of sledding…
had a snowball fight or two…
or three…
and then we played in the snow until it was dark outside and we felt like drinking some more Almond Joy Creamer Hot Chocolate. There was a lot of laughter to be had right in the middle of the FROZEN winter. Who would have thought. It was one of my best winter memories, for sure.
We have been loving Disney’s FROZEN soundtrack all winter long, have you heard it? I hate to admit it, but sometimes I listen to it when my kids aren’t around. I know, juvenile isn’t it? I can’t help myself. It puts a big old smile on my face and quite frankly I feel proud to be walking the same planet as the people who are talented enough to write something so clever and endearing. Love it. There are a lot of great messages there.
FROZEN is coming out on DVD this week, on March 18th I believe. I would love to give 3 of you a DVD/SOUNDTRACK combo pack. All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me one of the things you loved doing this past winter.
Before you know it, spring will be showing her pretty face…
…and that is a beautiful thing in its own right.
The Giveaway will be open until Tuesday March 18th at midnight. Winners will be announced and contacted on Wednesday March 19th, bright and early with the sunshine.
DISCLAIMER: This is not a sponsored post, just a little gift from me to you.

Thank you for the giveaway! I am not a winter gal, so I loved cozying up indoors with a few good books, and of course indulging in some classic winter comfort food!
Watching my 18 year old son with his new Christmas gift, an ice ogger, cut a hole through six inch thick ice on a frozen pond and then catch fish. He was as happy as an excited 8 year old.
Crafting is more fun in the winter because you just want to stay inside and make something! We’ve gotten enough snow this winter that my kids have a hard time walking in it, so I’ve been letting them “play in the snow” by bringing it inside in big buckets and letting them play in the bucket on a plastic sheet. Much warmer and still fun 🙂
Not shoveling too much snow! Can’t wait for spring.
Playing in the snow with my 3 year old and sitting by the fire with my husband 🙂
I love to watch snowflakes falling. The ones that remind me of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
We welcomed a new baby this winter! We had fun making burp rags, a baby quilt and a whole lot of freezer meals. All the while in the background we’ve been belting “let it go.” Yes… all.winter.long!
We loved crafting while it was bitter cold out.
I like to cozy up on the couch in front of a roaring fireplace.
Playing in the snow with my grandson!
I actually don’t mind shoveling every once in awhile! But thankful I have teenage boys to do it usually!
Making snow ice cream! Kids couldn’t believe how yummy it is!
I live in Oklahoma so we don’t typically get much snow, if any, in the winter. But this year we did and it was so fun to watch my 6 and 2yr olds watching the snow fall for hours at the window. They both enjoyed digging in the snow and making snow angels.
My husband introduced me to snowmobiling and I love it!
This winter I took my daughter out to spray paint (foodcoloring in a spray bottle) and we made art all over our whole yard. We made scenes from our favorite Disney movies and our favorite bible stories. Thanks for the opportunity to enter. P.S. How in the world did you stand to go out side bare legged. I would have died. But, I am from Oklahoma land of the heat waves. LOL
I didn’t get to do much at all this winter because I had Shoulder surgery. I did love getting to stay inside and not shovel sidewalks, I was able to stay in my comfy clothes and catch up on movies.
