Capri Sun and the Kids vs Pros Major League Soccer Showdown

by Jamie

Don’t you love the warm weather months! I always breathe a sigh of relief when the bitter winter weather subsides and my little kids are free to romp and roam in the sunny outdoors again. I struggle during the winter to come up with ways for my little ones to get enough exercise. Video games seem to be their constant wish and I find myself saying “…only 20 minutes on the wii, guys!” more times than I care to.

Nate

We opt to hit our local indoor pool a lot during the winter months, and that seems to help. But in the spring, summer and fall… man do they run and play like kids should! It is a welcome relief. There are so many fun activities to choose from and I feel better over all about their health and well-being! They ride bikes, jump on the trampoline, swim in the lake and pool, shoot hoops with their buddies and have a great time just being kids.

To help keep them hydrated and full of energy, I love keeping Capri Sun Juice Drinks on hand. They are so convenient when we are running to the park or heading off to a picnic or the pool. I have always loved the fact that Capri Sun doesn’t add any artificial color to their drinks. Capri Sun is most definitely great for Moms and awesome for kids in many ways.  My family loves having them around throughout the summer months. You can read more about them here. I recently learned a few things about Capri Sun that I hadn’t known before. In 2012, Capri Sun invested in creating a new box for Capri Sun pouches, remaking the iconic box with paperboard instead of cardboard – a change that resulted in a 30 million pound reduction in packaging in 2012. Capri Sun is always looking for ways to improve their packaging while providing consumers with the great-tasting juice drink they’ve come to expect from Capri Sun. The drink pouches have a new look as well. The bottom of the pouch is clear. Cool, right?!

They have also recently come out with some new drink options. Look at this fun Super V* variety that includes juice from fruits and vegetables. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first and didn’t know if my kids would drink them. However, they loved these fruit and vegetable juice drinks. Sweet! That makes me happy.

I have also learned that the Roaring Waters variety only has 30 calories per pouch.

I wasn’t kidding! If you have kids that need to watch their calorie and sugar intake these are a great choice.

Did you know that Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters is an official sponsor of Major League Soccer?  This makes sense to me. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a little league soccer game where there aren’t a couple of boxes of Capri Sun being handed out to the players. For the second year, Capri Sun is giving kids the ultimate sip of liquid swagger by inviting kids to take on Pro Athletes and win! This year, Capri Sun leveraged the excitement of their Major League Soccer sponsorship by gathering together a team of soccer Pros. These guys are some of the best in the league. BUT, when it comes to playing kids in the way kids play… these Pros don’t stand a chance. The Kids vs Pros Major League Soccer Showdown Instant Win Game will send 4 kids, their friends, and families to sunny Orlando, FL, to take on Major League Soccer Pros in a live event. At the event, kids will truly stand out by competing in soccer-themed contests where being kid-sized gives them an amusing advantage over the Pros. Plus, there are 1,000s of instant win soccer prizes for daily chances to win. If you and your family love soccer and would enjoy participating in this awesome event go this link. For more information look on specifically marked packages of Capri Sun at your local grocery store. The program started on July 28, 2014.

Sounds like a fun time!

I noticed the ingredients also say high fructose corn syrup and sucralose. Is this really a good choice?
