Winter Fruit Salad with Cinnamon Rum Sauce

by Jamie

Just a heads up for you dear readers today, my Cookbook will be going on sale for $10 a copy on Black Friday. It would make a great Christmas gift! 🙂

This super fast and easy Winter Fruit Salad makes a perfect side dish to bring along to a party, or to serve alongside your Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner. It’s loaded with pineapple chunks, apples, grapes and mandarin oranges. The Cinnamon Rum sauce is very mild, but adds a nice depth to the flavor of the dish.

Also, please be aware that this beauty of a recipe only takes 10 minutes to prepare. That is something to smile about, yes?

Does anything need to be done with the apples, so they don’t turn brown?

Drizzle them with a little lemon juice

Bridget,
The pineapple juice concentrate is enough to keep the apples from going brown. We kept the salad in the fridge for several days and they never went brown. You should be good to go!
Best of luck!

Very good! My rum ext. was bad so I had to sub vanilla and almond extracts. I will definitely be making this again!

This is my new favorite fruit salad! I may have eaten half of it before dinner. This is fantastic!

Is there a good option for the pineapple concentrate? Would orange juice be as good?
