White Chocolate Fondue

by Jamie

This recipe for White Chocolate Fondue couldn’t be easier. It only has three ingredients and tastes like a dream! It’s fabulous with strawberries, cinnamon bears, pound cake, dried mango, oreos…and really, just about anything else. I made a batch this past week to serve at our Young Womens Mother Daughter Fondue and Game Night, see that post HERE.  It was a hit! Watch for a Butterscotch Peanut Butter Fondue Recipe coming up later this week.

Let me show you how to make to make it happen!

1. Into a large, heavy sauce pan place 2 (11 ounce) packages of white chocolate chips. Pour 1 C heavy cream over the top.

2. Place 1 tsp coconut oil (or shortening) into the pan. This will give it just a little bit of a glossy shine and allow the chocolate to be nice and smooth.
3. Turn the heat to medium low and stir it together as the chocolate melts. It will look a little bit weird at first, no worries. You want to be sure not to get it too hot. It’s best to let it melt at lower heat. White chocolate can be a bit temperamental and will harden up on you if it gets too hot before it has melted.

4. When it has melted, add a dash of salt and give it a nice stir. Place the mixture in a crock pot or fondue pot to serve alongside your favorite dippers. Strawberries, dried mangos, cinnamon bears, Oreos, pretzel rods, etc.

Notes

You can make this ahead of time and store it in the fridge. Reheat it in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring after each one.

Hi Jamie,

I love the idea for the mother daughter fondue party. We are going to do it with our young women in two weeks. We are so excited. Thanks for sharing! Question: How do you keep the chocolate warm in a crock pot. I am worried it will get too warm. Is low cool enough?

Marisa,
I was worried it would get too warm in the crock pot as well, but we used three medium sized crock pots that ended up keeping them at a perfect temperature. I think you will be ok. 🙂 Good luck! Hope your girls love it.
Best,
~Jamie

I made this for a party. It kept separating in the crock pot. I would stir it and it would look fine but look back in a while and it would be separated again. So no one ate it. I saved it any advice what I can do to make this work for another party?

Hi Wanda,
Thanks for your question. White chocolate can be tricky. Make sure that it doesn’t get too hot, that is usually the reason is separates. Might be best to throw out the batch you made this time. Not sure how well it will reheat.
Best of luck!
~Jamie
