Can you take one more sweet treat before I delve into more healthy, vegetable laden recipes than you can imagine? I have a fantastic line up of “good for you” recipes coming up this January, but had one last decadent chocolate recipe to share before we head that direction. Can you forgive me? Dieters please avert your eyes, and put this heavenly Crock Pot Hot Chocolate on your list for another time. Thank you for your cooperation.
This Crock Pot Hot Chocolate is fabulous, friends! My friend Ruthie, from the blog What Ruthie’s Cooking shared this recipe with me and it is a keeper. Not only is it easy as can be (as most crock pot recipes are!) but it far exceeds the powdered variety you may be used to. It tastes like you are drinking a melted candy bar. Perfect for those cold days spent sledding, skiing or just driving around in the freezing arctic temperatures.
Hope some of you get a chance to try it! Happy Winter. 🙂
Let me show you how to make it happen!
1. Grab a small crock pot, the one I used was a 2 quart. Turn it on to high and allow it to preheat while you gather your ingredients.
2. Add all of the ingredients (but the marshmallows) into the crock pot. Cook on low for 2 hours…
…stirring occasionally if you are around.
Serve with marshmallows. It’s divine!

This sounds soooo good! Thank you for sharing the recipe. We have plenty of cold days ahead, so lots of opportunities for something warm and chocolaty!
