I am planning on purchasing a new mixer. Should I buy a Bosch Mixer or a Kitchen Aid Mixer?

It depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are planning to make 5 loaves of Whole Wheat Bread for your family every week, a Bosch is really the only choice. A Kitchen Aid Mixer doesn’t have the motor for that kind of use. However, the bowl of the Bosch Mixer is quite large and has a hard time mixing recipes that are smaller, like these Quick and Easy Breadsticks. This recipe would need to be doubled if you are making it in a Bosch.

If you are only planning to use your mixer to make small batches of bread once in a while, and will be making a lot of cakes, cookies, whipping cream etc…the Kitchen Aid Mixer will not disappoint.

I have a food blog, can you give me some advice on how to make it great?

Here are some basic tips for you.

1. Post recipes that are fabulous, don’t waste your readers time by reviewing recipes that don’t turn out well.
2. Learn a little bit about food photography and how to make your food look appetizing.
3. Just be yourself. 🙂 Write the content as if you were conversing with your sister or good friend.
4. Use social media to help promote your posts. Pinterest and Facebook have worked best for me. I’ve opted not to use Twitter, mostly because of time constraints and I don’t seem to have many readers who use it.
