Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 (15 oz) cans of beans (use a variety of red kidney, white northern, pinto and black)
  • 2 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 3 Tb tomato paste
  • 1 C beef broth
  • 1 Tb chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 Tb brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Kinders Woodfire Garlic Seasoning
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a large, deep skillet up over medium high heat. Add your ground sausage and ground beef. Break it up with a spatula while it cooks, to separate the tubes into small pieces. After its cooked for about 5 minutes, add the onion and green pepper. Cook until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent. Add the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the meat mixture to your crock pot.
  3. Drain and rinse all your beans. Add them to the crock pot.
  4. Add all the other ingredients and give it all a nice stir.
  5. Cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4 hours.

Serve with cheddar cheese, tortilla chips and sour cream...or with some warm rolls.

  1. This was delicious. I added an additional 1 1/2 tablespoon of chili powder and about 1 T tajin seasoning. Gave it stars on my cooking app to return to again. Thanks for your recipe.
