Many years ago, my Mom started a fun tradition we’ve carried on through the years.

This is my pretty Mom, plus my lovely granddaughter, ready to embark on said tradition. 🙂

On Thanksgiving Day, after we’ve eaten our fill and the food is cleaned up, we get out some art supplies. Everyone traces their hands on a piece of paper, making a cute turkey shape. Then each person writes what they are thankful for on each of the fingers.

It’s fun to continue visiting while our hands are busy creating and thinking over the past year. After everyone is finished drawing and writing, we gather in a circle and everyone shares what they have written.
I love it so much! It really is such a great way to include gratitude into the day. I love hearing what my sisters, nieces and nephews and parents have written, as well as my children and grandchildren. It helps us do a little processing and see how the year has shaped us.
Anyhow, I thought I would share it with you all, today… In case you wanted to add it to your festivities.
You can see a cute Reel I put together HERE, that highlights the activity a bit more.
Happy soon to be Thanksgiving, everyone. My love to all of you.
