Instant Pot DUO60 6 Qt 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer

Have you jumped in on the Instant Pot craze yet? I am slowly getting there, my friends and they are truly amazing appliances. They have so many features and can save you so much time in the kitchen. My favorite thing to make (by far!) are mashed potatoes. Seriously, so easy and they turn out so well. My friend Mel at Mel’s Kitchen Cafe has some great Instant Pot recipe, see them by clicking HERE.

Assorted Design Certified International International Large Bowl Set. (For cereal, pasta, soup, etc.)
I bought a set of these fun bowls at Costco this past winter (not sure if they are still in stock there, but you can find them on Amazon at the link above). Oh, my goodness, we have loved them. They are light weight, colorful, hold the perfect amount of soup, cereal, etc. My kids love them because they don’t get overly hot in the microwave. They would make a great mothers day gift. Everyone can use more bowl, right?

Immersion Hand Blender

This immersion blender is handy for so many things. I use mine to blend up salad dressings, stewed tomatoes, soup, smoothies, etc. It’s so much easier to wash than an entire blender. Love it!

Pioneer Woman Bake Ware

Are these stoneware pans not the cutest? I love all of the Pioneer Woman Dishes, and especially these!

Pioneer Woman Batter Bowl

This better bowl is another favorite. So adorable and perfect for making pancakes, biscuits, muffins, etc. Also, the cute factor is definitely high.

Handbag Purse Organizer, with 13 pockets

To say I love this purse organizer would be a grand understatement. It is light weight, has a ton of pockets and fits nicely inside a medium sized purse (you can buy it in several different sizes). I load it full of all kinds of things Mom’s need handy such as… Excedrin for Migraine ;), gum, band-aids, headphones,  lipstick, lotion, pens, hand sanitizer, dental floss, etc. I love it because it keeps everything organized so the inside of my purse doesn’t look like a war zone. Also, when I want to change purses I just switch it from one purse to the other. Precious cargo transferred in just a second or two. Love it.

Juicy Bath Co. Lotion and Body Souffle
and Body Lotion

A dear friend gave me this lotion/body souffle set for my birthday last year and man, do I love it. The scent is super fresh and fabulous.

Wooden Serving Bowl

I love a good Wooden Salad Bowl. This one is sturdy and deep, making it perfect to take a long to a party. And it looks so pretty…

Soap Dispensing Scrubber Brush

While this scrub brush might seem Overly Practical in the gift giving department it is never the less Ah-mazing and makes dish doing so much better. It holds dish soap right in the handle. With a press of a button the soup leaks out into the brush (or sponge) and onto whatever dish you are cleaning. It’s perfect to use when there are just a few dishes to wash and you don’t want to run a whole sink of soapy water. Love it!

Bronze Family Tree Frame with 6 Hanging Picture Frames

Isn’t this frame adorable! I love the idea of the photos hanging on a “family tree”. I recently attended a wedding reception where the couple had gathered wedding pictures from their parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and even great-great-grandparents. They framed each one individually and hung them in a tree that was growing in the yard where the reception was being held. It was amazing! It would be fun to use this little tree in the same way, perhaps hanging wedding photos of your mother’s posterity. It would also be great stocked with pictures of grandkids, children, siblings, etc. Load this baby up with whatever your Mom would love. (Or buy it for yourself and put your favorite family pictures in it).

Wooden Family Birthday Plaque

Several years ago I made a fun Family Birthday sign for my Mom so she could keep track of all of her children and grandchildren’s birthdays, all in one spot. She loves it. This sign I found on Amazon would work in much the same way. Great for Mom’s and Grandma’s with an abundance of posterity to keep track of.

My mother passed away at age 95 about 4 years ago. But, the things I love most about her was that she was honest to a fault and would tell you the way it was even if it was hard to hear. I also loved when she was younger that we always had family dinner on Sundays and it was fabulous!

I love that she has a sense of humor. She’s putting together a funeral plan and is trying to think what to put on the headstone. She is learning toward, “I’d rather wear out than rust out” with an arrow pointing to my dad’s side saying, “here lies Rusty”. She is constantly on the go and never stops, my dad has a hard time going ?.

My mom had the most wonderful sense of humor in dealing with her nine children. She was always such a vibrant woman. She had wonderful family parties with delicious food.

My grandmothers were both very stalwart in their faith. They taught me to stand up for what I believe in and to do quiet acts of service every day.

My Mother is no longer alive but the most significant Mother is my life is my daughter, Melissa. She is so devoted to her sons it is amazing to watch. She not only snow boards with her sons but she also skis, paddle boards, and takes them to every sporting even that they are in. I lost my soul mate quite unexpectedly on Christmas Day and my Melissa stepped right into his shoes and looks after me all the time. In addition she brings me bouquets of flowers every Sunday and does my grocery shopping for me. No one and I mean NO ONE can ask for a better Daughter and Mother than my Melissa. God Bless her in every things she does in life.

My mother in law is such a wonderful example to me. She had 12 children and to see her patience, faith, and strong love for each and every one of her family members is such an inspiration to me!

I am blessed to still have my mom in my life! At 82 she is a bundle of energy and such a wonderful example of caring and compassion. She not only tells us but demonstrates how her faith in God has and continues to give her the strength to keep loving and serving. WE are so blessed!

My dear mother in law passed away several months ago at the age of 91. She remained until the end, independent, spunky, and fun to be around. I was eternally grateful that she chose to live her final years close to us where we could all be a part of her life. One of her fav sayings was, “getting old isn’t for sissies”. So true! She was a great cook and I learned a lot from her. We miss her!

My mother has always been a selfless soul–one who truly puts the needs of other family members above her own. I will be forever grateful to her for her example.

My mom will turn 95 this October. She still lives alone in her home in Nebraska. We live in Colorado so I try to visit her once a month. I love how independent she is. I’m blessed to still have her in my life.

I’ve had so many wonderful women in my life who have influenced me. My Mom, who passed 8 years ago, who always believed in my and whatever I did. My MIL who was one of my biggest fans and always cheered me on. My daughter who is so very strong, proud and determined. My granddaughter who reminds me to slow down and breathe.

One of my mother’s strongest gifts is her resilience. Life has not always been kind to her, but she just keeps going. I am thankful for her example.

My mom has been gone for almost 25 years now, and I miss her every day. Still. Something I love about her especially was the way she saw me, with nothing but strength and confidence and courage. My shortcomings were visible to her, of course, but that stuff was just background noise to her, and only temporary. She believed in the good stuff so strongly that I did too—I really didn’t have any choice. Because of her example I’ve tried to give that kind of love to my children and grandchildren too. It’s the sweetest gift.

My mom is fabulous. She has completely dedicated her life to helping others. She is constantly flying to visit her children and help out with various things, she created a community theater in my home town that has flourished for over 25 years now, and she currently is working on a major project to bring a new library and community events center to the city as well. She has taught me to dream big and leave the world better than I found it. Love her dearly!

I think I am one of the last people on earth without an Instant Pot and I would LOVE to win one! Mothers Day is such a special day for me, because for many, many years I didn’t think I would ever be able to celebrate it. Today, as I look into the angelic faces of my 3 miracle boys, I know I am blessed beyond measure! (And as they grow, I will need an Instant Pot to keep up with their appetites!!)

My mom is 93 and you would never guess it and I feel very blessed to still have her! Everyone I introduce her to never believes her age. She loves going to church, church activities, and spending time with family and friends. One day when I was a little girl and felt sad about not having any friends she said to me “ I’ll be your friend!..Lets be best friends!” And now that I am 60 yrs. old and have grown children of my own that statement is still very true today. We are still very close and “best friends.”

This will sound funny posting this on a food blog – but my mom hates to cook. I did not inherit my love of cooking from her, but she always made sure we had a good meal at the end of the day. And she taught me to eat healthy – plenty of fruits and vegetables. We had a large garden and always centered our meals around its bounty. That taught me so much! Thanks, Jamie and happy mother’s day!

I am so blessed to have a wonderful mom, mother-in-law and an amazing step mother in law. When my mother-in-law passed away, we weren’t sure if my father-in-law would be with us long (he was pretty young) Then he met my step mother in law. She is the most loving person I’ve ever know. She loves my kids like her own grand babies. She brought light back into our family. I am so grateful to have her in my life!

My mom has always been my biggest supporter! The tables have now turned and I had to move her away from her hometown of 78 years to live with me so I can take care of her due to her Alzheimer’s. I now support her and make sure she is well cared for during her final years. Although she’s not the “same mom” I’m used to, she’s still my mother!

My Mother in Law has been such an inspiration to me of sending love from across the country. For every holiday and special event in my children’s lives while they were growing up she sent a note or card containing a few dollars for “an ice cream” or something to mark that occasion. It meant so much to them. They always fought to check the mail when it was close to that day!
