This Giveaway is now closed.

Two years ago…

on this very day.
I started stock piling recipes onto this little blogspot of mine.
I had NO idea what I was doing…
the Internet is a tricky beast to maneuver you know!
What with HTM…L? is it?
And hyperlinks and social media and page ranks and how do I even add a link to a post and what about making a little money and
how do you make a food blog work and
how do I make my pictures more appealing and
who can I tell about my blog and
will people use it and
will people like it
…and all of that kind of stuff was
tumbling around through my noggin for a good long while.
Still is, if you want to know the truth!

And now, with two years under my belt
I feel like I have learned a thing or two,
maybe even two and a half!

And I’ve come to the realization that there are a few things about this food blogging business that I know, for sure.
Here they are.

love
writing
this
blog.
I love cooking for this blog.
I love thinking about what to cook.
I love that you show up to read it!
I love to hear about your cooking successes!

And the VERY most important thing I’ve learned?
This blog would be pretty lame with out you.
Seriously.
It would just be a lonely old corner for me and my butter and sugar.
And so today I wanted to say…
Thanks.
Thanks a bunch for reading this blog of mine, and for trying these recipes and for saying hello to me at the grocery store and for telling your sister about my site and for bearing with an occasional mis-spelled word and for leaving a little comment love and
for just being so all around great.

You’ve made it possible for me to have a job that I love.
And in this day and age…
loving the job you have
is a luxury one should never take for granted.

To show my appreciation…I bought some knives for you.
Ok, not really for all of you.
If I had Oprah’s bank account….I would!

But for TWO of you!
This is the knife set that I use everyday in my kitchen.
I love it to pieces…don’t know what I’d do without it.
It may not be the most glamorous of knife sets…
but it makes cutting and cooking in the kitchen
a whole lot easier.
To enter this giveaway…I’m hoping you’ll give me a little feedback.
All you have to do is tell me what you’d like to see more of on this site. More Easy Dinner Recipes, Bread Recipes, Dessert Recipes, Cookie Recipes, Side Dishes, Salad Recipes, Potluck Dishes, Cute Recipes, Soup Recipes, Recipes for Kids….
whatever you would like to see more of….
I’d sure like to hear about it.

with your comment.
The Giveaway will be open until Thursday at midnight,
two lucky winners to be announced on Friday morning.

Thanks for dropping by,
I love ya to pieces
and have a great day!

  1. Happy Anniversary!!! Your blog is one of my favorites and I pass your website around quite often…it's fun to see “my people” post things on facebook about something that they've made from you…

I love your dessert recipes, but perhaps more easy dinner recipes? Or sides…

  2. I love your blog…and I love your recipes. I've made so many of them and my family loves your blog recipes. So I guess I would love just about anything you decide to post but if I have to choose I would love to have some easy meals. thanks for all your hard work.

  3. First of all dear cuz, I want to say that your blog is my “go-to” for anything that I need a little extra cooking inspiration for (i.e. monthly Relief Society recipe exchange that's coming up on Tuesday -topic this month: crock pot dishes). That being said, I have forced my family over the last couple of months into going grain free, all-natural, lots of meat, lots of meat, and lots of veggies. And I know many, many others out there who have done the same. I would love to ask you for a grain-free baking category added to the blog where coconut flour and almond flour are substituted for wheat flour. It's a challenge (believe me, I thought I was a pretty skilled baker until I tried these new ingredients), but I can't think of anyone who could tackle it better! Happy Birthday to your blog 🙂 Ann Marie

  4. My whole family loves your blog. There hasn't been a single recipe that they didn't flip over. I would love to see more holiday themed food ideas like Easter, St. Patrick's Day, and 4th of July. I like to make fun treats or dinners for holidays but can never think of what to make.

  5. I don't know what I would like to see more of, I haven't even made it through my list of things to make from your blog yet! I think you have a really great variety, so the sugar freak in me would say desserts, but really, I love most of what you post, so I'll take anything!

  6. Love your blog. With winter coming I would like to see more soup recipes and I am always looking for easy dinner recipes.

  7. I love this blog! I can't think of anything you could be doing differently. Really, I think you have a nice balance of recipes that you put on here. So, I guess I want more of everything 🙂
