Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing from Jamie Cooks It Up!

The recipe I brought to share with you today, however is just as smack-down fabulous as the waffles and butter syrup, but without all the guilt. I hate guilt, don’t you?

This Lemon Poppyseed Dressing is divine, people. Not just to drink (ha!), but to pour all over a fabulous salad. Healthy, right! Guilt free, yes? It’s a wonderful treasure, indeed. You can make it about 10 minutes and is heavenly drizzled all over a wonderful salad recipe I will be sharing with you tomorrow.

Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing I Jamie Cooks It Up!

Here’s the recipe for you all, printable version included.

Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing

Total Time: 9 minutes

Yield: 1 1/2 Cups


3 Tb white wine vinegar (or regular vinegar)
2/3 C mayonnaise
1 tsp honey mustard
1/2 C sugar
1/3 C fresh lemon juice (2-3 lemons depending on size)
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 Tb minced onion
1/4 C canola oil
1 tsp poppy seeds


1. Place all ingredients, except the canola oil and poppy seeds into a blender. Blend until it's nice and frothy. Should only take 1 minute or so.
2. Add the oil and poppy seeds and blend for about 30 seconds.
3. Store in a covered container in the fridge.
