This is the way I cook brown rice, 99% of the time. Sometimes, I get a wild hair and go for this Oven Baked Brown Rice recipe, but most often we just pull out the trusty rice cooker and let it work the magic. Hope it’s helpful to you!

Ingredients

  • 2 C brown rice
  • 5 C water
  • 2 tsp chicken bullion granules

Instructions

  1. Pour all ingredients into the rice cooker. Give it a nice stir.
  2. Close the lid and set it to the "brown rice" setting and let it cook away. It will take about 90 minutes, give or take...depending on your particular appliance.
  3. When finished, toss with a fork and serve.
