FUN FOR FAMILIES

AZUL TILE PLACEMENT BOARD GAME

I cannot say enough good things about this game. My sister in law introduced us to it and the number of hours we have logged playing it since…well. It’s a lot. ๐Ÿ™‚

2-4 Players, it’s a strategic tile placement game that will keep your brain power flowing. The tiles are visually beautiful as well. It’s a great one!

COLORFUL MARBLES and JOKERS BOARD GAME

This is such a fun game and can be played with up to 8 players. It’s easy to learn and provides opportunity for strategy as well. You can play in partners or singly. It’s great for kids, teens and adults, making it perfect for families.

TENZI + 77 WAYS TO PLAY TENZI

This was a real crowd favorite with our extended family this summer. It’s fun for all ages and is a quick paced, roll the dice and form them into all kinds of things kind of game. We took turns making up games to play, but as I was searching for an image to add to this post, I noticed this add on game “77 Ways to play Tenzi” that looked fun as well. It’s a great one.

HEAVY DUTY COLAPSABLE WAGON

We love this great wagon. Would you believe me if I tell you I load it down with my grandkids + my pup and pull them around the neighborhood. It’s the truth and it is so much fun. They love to be together and I love seeing it. It’s also fabulous for hauling things, I use it when I do my cooking segments on TV to haul all my ingredients and cooking gear into the studio. I couldn’t make that work with out it.

KITCHEN and HOME ITEMS

A lot of the kitchen items I’ve loved this year are used to make Sourdough Bread, a little hobby I’ve picked up and adore.

TRAMONTIA CAST IRON DUTCH OVEN 5.5 QUART

I love this great Dutch oven. It’s the perfect size for making a nice pot of soup, or Sourdough Bread or other artisan style breads. I have two of them and they fit perfectly side by side in my oven. They are by far the cheapest at Sam’s Club, who runs them on a special this time of year. They are a seasonal item for them, however…so if you’d like one, now is the time.

DESK AND OFFICE CHAIR

This amazing office chair has saved my back, this year. It’s super comfortable and has the perfect sized little pillow for back support. I log a lot of hours at the computer and it’s been a lifesaver.

AUTO ROLLING FRIDGE EGG ORGANIZER

I find myself purchasing eggs in bulk at Sam’s Club or Costco these days (by far the cheapest way to go!) but hate storing them in the bulky cardboard flat they are sold in. Enter in this fabulous Rolling Egg Organizer. I have 2 of them and love how compact they are and how easy it is to grab and egg or two when I need them.

CUISINART ELECTRIC KNIFE

I love this knife. We seriously couldn’t live without it. We make a lot of artisan style bread and it’s a life saver, especially with the thick crusted Sourdough Bread.

DANISH DOUGH WHISK

This fabulous dough whisk comes in super handy when mixing bread dough by hand. I use it for Sourdough and other Artisan style breads.

INDOOR HERB GARDEN

I can’t say enough great things about this fun herb garden. My husband gave me one for Mother’s Day and I have LOVED it. You can plant whatever seeds you’d like, I’ve enjoyed doing thyme and rosemary the most. It takes about 90 days for the herbs to grow and be usable, but after that…boy are they usable. You can trim a bit off, and then the plant just keeps growing. You add water as it runs out and a bit of plant food now and then, but other than that they literally just take care of themselves. It’s been amazing and fun. Highly recommend!

BROWN SUGAR BEAR SOFTENER

These little brown sugar bears are the best. Simply drop one into your bag or container of brown sugar, make sure your container is closed tightly and the bear will keep the sugar soft. Truly. It will.

GIFTS FOR LADIES

UNDER EYE PATCHES in GOLD

My daughter gave me a jar of these fabulous eye patches for Mothers Day and goodness, I’m hooked. They really freshen up the bags under my eyes and make the skin certainly less loose. Plus, they just feel good. Every mama needs a little TLC sometimes, right?

SAUCONY RUNNING SHOE

Let it be known that these shoes are stunningly comfortable. If I were a running-kind of lady, I do believe they would be fabulous. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am more of a walk-really-fast kind of lady and they are just the thing for my morning walks. I keep a pair for inside my house as well and wear them while I’m on my feet cooking or doing other household chores. The sole is super thick and well cushioned.

NIKE TRAIL SHOES

These are my favorite hiking shoes. Ever. They are super comfortable, have a nice thick heel and grip the ground well. I’ve logged many a hiking hour in these beauties. They are a great choice if you like to hike.

SUNACME 110 DUAL BRUSH MARKERS

My husband gave me a set of these markers this year and oh, goodness. I’ve been so happy with them. They are great for lettering, drawing, coloring, etc. They color choices are fabulous.

SOFT LEATHER JOURNALS

I came across these super soft journals while looking for a gift for some of the members of my church congregation. They are very affordable and are a great size, not too bulky or heavy. They come in a package of 24, making them perfect for passing around to your family or friends. I keep one for a gratitude/brain dump journal, one for writing in at church and one for writing the stories I want to remember.

BOOKS

THE SMALL and THE MIGHTY by Sharon McMahon

Every American should read this book, truly. It’s so informative and inspiring. I deepened my understanding of many, many things. It’s a great one.

THE UNSELECTED JOURNALS of EMMA M LION, VOL 1-7 by Beth Brower

This series is more charming and lovable and fabulous than I can express. If you loved Anne of Green Gables, you’ll love this. The first book in the series is a little slow, but please prevail…they get better and better as you go.

Happy holidays, and gift giving, everyone! Thanks for dropping by today.

  1. Oh, those little journals are beautiful! I keep note pads all over the place, too. There’s always something to write down. Things to do, or bits of stuff from whichever book I’m reading and want to learn more about. Great list.
