This Caramel Apple Crisp with Toasted Pecans takes the classic fall dessert you love and makes it irresistible. Tender baked apples are topped with a buttery oat crisp, then drizzled with sweet, golden caramel sauce. A final sprinkle of toasted pecans during the last few minutes of baking adds a warm crunch that perfectly balances the gooey caramel and juicy apples. Comfort food at its finest—simple, cozy, and completely unforgettable.

It really makes all the difference with these two tasty treasures added at the end.

The texture is fabulous!
Hope you get a chance to try it!
Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 8 C apples, peeled and thinly sliced (I like cosmic crisp, or pink lady)
- 1/2 C sugar
- 2 Tb melted butter
- 2 Tb flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- dash salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- CRISP TOPPING:
- 1 C + 2 Tb all purpose flour
- 1 C + 2 Tb brown sugar
- 1/2 C quick cooking oats
- 1/2 C cold butter, cut into chunks
- dash salt
- CARAMEL PECAN TOPPING:
- 1/2 (14 oz) jar caramel ice cream topping
- 2/3 C pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Peel and thinly slice your apples and place them in a mixing bowl. Add the other filling ingredients and stir well to combine.
- Spray a 3-4 quart casserole dish with cooking spray and pour the mixture into it, making sure to scrape the sides of the bowl so you get all those yummy ingredients.
- Grab another mixing bowl and add all of the Crisp Topping ingredients. Use a pastry blender or two butter knives to cut the butter into the other ingredients. The mixture should look nice and crumbly. Pour it out over the filling, making sure it's evenly distributed.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the over and drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the crisp. Sprinkle with the pecans.
- Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Allow it to sit on the counter for about 10 minutes, then serve it warm with vanilla ice cream.
So, so good!

That’s so exciting about the NHK feature! It reminds me of how creative names can be, like when I use a DnD Name Generator for my fantasy projects. Congrats on the spotlight!
