Several years ago, I was visiting with some friends about how they celebrate their grandchildren’s birthdays. These friends have a few years on me, and are well-seasoned grandmothers. ๐ One friend mentioned that she takes the birthday child out for lunch and has a list of questions she asks them. She writes the answers on a piece of paper, and then keeps them in a file. On the next birthday date, they go out again, and fill out a new paper full of questions and then refer back to the previous years answers…as a way to see how much they’ve grown and learned and developed.
Such a fun idea, right?
My oldest granddaughter and I have carried out the aforementioned activity for two years running now and it’s been so much fun.
