I love a good Chocolate Chip Cookie. A warm homemade cookie fresh from the oven is one of my favorite treats of all time. Scroll to the end of this post to see some of my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipes, as well as a great list of recipes from a few friends.

I had my parents over for dinner the other night and decided to try a little twist on my regular Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar recipe by baking the dough in the shape of a pizza, cutting it into slices and serving it with ice cream and chocolate syrup. We gobbled them up in no time flat, friends. They were a real hit and so super easy.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pizza from Jamie Cooks It Up

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pizza

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 1 hour

Yield: 12-16 servings

Ingredients

2 1/8 C flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
12 T butter (1 1/2 sticks)
1 C brown sugar
1/2 C white sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
2 t vanilla
2 C milk chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
2. Grab 2 (9 or 10 inch) round cake pans. Trace the bottom of the pans onto parchment paper. Cut the parchment paper out and place it in the bottom of the pans. Spray the sides generously with cooking spray.
3. In a small bowl combine the flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
4. In a medium sized mixing bowl melt the butter. Add the sugars and stir to combine. Add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Stir until well combined.
5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet. Stir until combined.
6. Press the dough into the cake pans. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Watch them carefully, you don't want to over bake.
7. Remove the pans from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
8. Invert the cookie pizzas onto a serving platter, plate or cutting board. Slice them into triangles with a sharp knife.
Serve with ice cream and chocolate syrup.

Notes

Be sure to bake the dough in a pan that has sides or a small lip.
