Hello, there dear reader. Today’s fantastic 15 MINUTE recipe, is a hearty, meaty, pour over chips and top with cheddar cheese, kind of experience. 😉 To see my growing list of 15 MINUTE RECIPES click HERE.

My family all gave them the thumbs up, which is a good sign…yes?

There are a lot of great possibilities with this tasty treasure. Make them for an easy lunch, dinner, after school snack, or bring to a party as an appetizer.

The saucy meat and bean mixture is cooked all in one skillet, making for easy cleanup as well. It’s layered with flavors, that give it a great smokey bbq vibe.

I hope you get a chance to try them!

  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 (14 oz) can chili con carne with beans (we like Nalley's)
  • 1 (15 oz) can corn, drained
  • 1/2 C BBQ sauce
  • 2 Tb ketchup
  • 1 Tb mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 Tb brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper
  • Tortilla chips
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Optional toppings:
  • Green Onion
  • Cilantro
  • Sour Cream

  1. Grab a large deep skillet and heat it up over medium high heat. Spray with cooking spray and add your ground beef and sprinkle with the onion salt.  Break it up into small pieces with  a spatula while it cooks until it's no longer pink and has a nice brown color.
  2. Add all other ingredients (except the tortilla chips, cheese and optional toppings).
  3. Cook and stir until combined and then allow it to simmer for 5 minutes or so. Add more salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spoon onto tortilla chips and top with cheese, and any of the optional toppings you care for.
