If you are looking for something fun and festive to take to your next holiday gathering, look no further. This cute Hummus Wreath can be put together in under 20 minutes, is loaded with yummy Greek flavor and is good for you as well! You can serve it with artisan bread, nan bread, pita chips, crackers or veggies.

Let me show you how to make it happen.

Grab a large round platter, mine is 18 inches across. You can obviously make it on a smaller scale. Just use what you have. 🙂 If your platter is smaller, put a bit less hummus, or just enjoy a thicker hummes-ed wreath.

Place a small bowl, upside down, in the center of your wreath and spread the hummus out around the edges of the bowl to make the wreath shape. Drizzle it with just a bit of olive oil.

For extra wonderful flavor, I like to sprinkle the hummus with this amazing Cavender’s All Purpose Greek Seasoning. The stuff is delightful, you can find it at any regular grocery store (not Sam’s or Costco, though I would buy it in a big size if they did…just putting in a plug there).

Chop up your spinach and green onions and sprinkle them around the wreath to make it appear to have lovely green foliage. Give it a sprinkle of feta cheese.

Slice your small tomatoes in half and add them around the wreath, face side down. Sprinkle a bit more Greek Seasoning on.

Now, grab yourself a red bell pepper (I used a mini bell) and cut two rectangles with rounded tops for the top of the bow and two longer rectangles for the bow streamers. I like to cut a little triangle shape out of the bottom of each one.

Remove the small bowl and clean up any jagged edges.

You could place a small bowl into the center, filled with pita chips, or little nan breads to serve with the hummus. Bring along some fresh veggies or additional pita chips to serve along side. It’s best served within a few hours of assembling.

Wrap your wreath with plastic wrap and off you go. A fun appetizer in tow.

Hope you get a chance to try it!
