Sometimes when I see people buying fresh vegetables at the grocery store, I want to pull them aside and tell them how fabulous those vegetables would taste, if they would roast them in the oven. Truly, they are so much better than any other cooking method I’ve tried and Brussel sprouts are no exception.

I’ve got a quick picture tutorial today, showing how to prepare them and then 3 different ways to season them that are each wonderful in their own way.

And, did I mention…they are super healthy? A win all around!

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Grab a big bag of Brussel Sprouts. I like to buy them at Costco or Sam’s Club. They are washed and ready to go.

Slice the little stubs from the end of each sprout.

Then cut them in half.

Line 2 large cookie sheets with foil and spray it generously with cooking spray. Place the brussell sprouts evenly over the top. You can either drizzle them with olive oil or just spray them with more cooking spray (I do the later).

Allow them to roast for about 15 minutes or until they are nice and charred.

Remove them from the oven, add a bit more cooking spray and then add your seasonings of choice.

Here are three options that I love.

  1. Lemon Pepper and Parmesan Cheese
  2. Balsamic Vinegar or Balsamic Glaze
  3. Everything Bagel Seasoning and Cheddar Cheese (bacon is a good addition here, if that’s up your alley) 😉

They work really well if you like to meal prep. I usually make a big pan and then eat them throughout the week. We love them with SIMPLE SKILLET CHICKEN THIGHS and SMOKEY SHEET PAN POTATOES.

Hope some of you get a chance to try them!
