This super healthy, loaded with protein, deliciously thick smoothie is my go to when I need a quick breakfast or snack loaded with nutrients. I often make one after a long hike or walk…my boys call it my “post workout drink” ;)…and while I don’t claim to be an athlete in any way shape or form, it really does hit the spot.

This is what I use!

I LOVE this Oikos Vanilla Greek Yogurt. It doesn’t have any added sugar, but is still pretty sweet. It’s my favorite yogurt, hands down. It comes in other flavors as well, but for this smoothie I like to stick with vanilla.

Grab a bunch of spinach (about 2 handfuls) and place it in a bullet blender.

Add all the other ingredients and blend until smooth. Look at that vibrant color! Stunning. 🙂

Healthy Green Protein Smoothie

Serves: 1 serving Prep Time:

  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/2 banana (frozen works best)
  • 1 scoop protein powder (about 3-4 tablespoons)
  • 1/4 C vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4-1/2 C almond milk (start with the 1/4 C and add more to thin it if you choose)
  • dash salt


  1. Place all the ingredients into a bullet blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Add a bit more almond milk if you want it thinner. Add more banana if you want it thicker.

Serve and enjoy!
