This 5-minute high protein apple pie yogurt bowl is the perfect healthy breakfast, snack, or dessert. Made with creamy cottage cheese, yogurt, and warm cinnamon-spiced apples, it’s got all the flavors of a warm apple pie filling…without the guilt. ๐ Now, that’s something I can get on board with.
The apples are quickly softened in the microwave with cozy cinnamon and a splash of vanilla, then layered over a protein-packed base for a simple, satisfying bowl you’ll crave daily.
If you’re looking for an easy high protein breakfast, a healthy apple dessert, or a quick meal prep idea, this apple pie protein bowl checks all the boxes!

Ingredients
- 1 apple, diced (peel on is ok!)
- splash of vanilla
- dash of salt
- sprinkle of cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp butter
- 1/2 C cottage cheese
- 1/2 C plain Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 3-4 pecans, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Grab yourself an apple and dice it up, no need to peel it. Place it in a shallow bowl.
- Splash a bit of vanilla, a dash of salt, a sprinkle of cinnamon into the bowl. Give it a stir to combine. Cover with some plastic wrap and microwave for 2 minutes.
- Into a large glass measuring cup, place the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and protein powder. Stir well to combine.
- Remove the warm apples from the microwave and carefully remove the plastic wrap. Add a small dot of butter (about 1/2 tsp) allow it to melt and then stir it in.
- Slide the warm apples and saucy juices to the side of the bowl and scoop the creamy yogurt mixture in next to the apples.
- Sprinkle a few chopped pecans over the top of the apples.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
