Ten Tasty Soups

by Jamie on September 24, 2012

Hi there, ladies and gentlemen. Before we talk about soup, and it’s soul warming effects of wonder, I have a few house keeping issues to discuss with you.

Many of you may have noticed that my site was down yesterday for a good chunk of time, due to the fact that there was not enough band width for each and every one of you to come and look at these pictures and read these recipes. I do so apologize for any inconvenience this has caused any of you and appreciate your patience. I have been working with the company who provides the hosting for my site, and have increased the bandwidth sufficiently so this won’t happen again. Fingers crossed, chocolate inhaled, diet coke consumed.  :)

Also, many of you have contacted me with concerns about not being able to find certain recipes, having some of your pins broken and not receiving my feed.  Again, I appreciate your patience. Please email me at jamiecooksfor7@gmail.com if you can’t seem to find a recipe and I will send you a direct link. If you have stopped getting my feed, please subscribe again and if your pins are broken, I would sure love it if you pinned the recipes again.

I am working hard to make this site as user-friendly as the old one. I’m hoping to install a new “search bar” soon, as well as an improved recipe tab that will make it easier for you to browse through this ever-growing pile of recipes. If you take a look under my header I have added a couple of new tabs. Dinner and Fall Recipes. They both have drop down menus that I’m hoping you will find easy to access and use.  As I have mentioned in the past, my little corner of the internet would be exceedingly lame without  you.  I appreciate you hanging in there while I am under a bit of construction. I feel like sending you all a big chocolate bar and a nice cold diet coke. That is, if I had any left…I would totally send you one, man. Totally.

Now. The soup. Oh, I love a good bowl of soup in the fall and winter. I seem to make a big pot of it at least once a week. I thought today would be a good day to share 10 of my favorites. I’ve also listed links to the homemade bread and roll recipes that go perfectly with each one.  Hope you find something to love. :)

Jamie, you are so darling. I didn’t notice your site was down, but my sister-in-law called me in a panic because she was making your orange crush chicken for a big family party and couldn’t get the recipe. :) Oh the trauma you caused. Ha ha ha. You are absolutely amazing and fabulous you know. Thanks for always providing my family with yummy stuff!!

Thanks for the soup recipes. I love having & making soups on cold winter days. They’re great for the crock pot. I’ll be printing a few of these recipes for sure!

Wow! What a great post today! Can you hear the printer going?

Oh, yeah – your broccoli soup is the only way my husband eats broccoli, lol!

Mmmmmm….I just wish that my stomach was big enough to accommodate all of those soups and breads in one sitting. It’s too hard to choose!

I learned of your wonderful website from my daughter. We so enjoy all of the recipes we have tried. The broccoli soup is also great using cauliflower instead. Thanks for the great ideas!

I love, love, love your blog and all of your wonderful recipes. My cute daughter-in-law, Abby Dickson, told me about this site when my she and my son and their baby moved in with us last spring, and I have to be honest, my cooking has really stepped up a notch. She told me that she took piano lessons from you years ago in Murray, so you must also be talented in other ways than cooking. Thanks!
