This is the first time, however I have ventured into the Overnight Oats category. I know, I know…you feel like maybe I have been living under a rock and not noticed the Overnight Oats craze. Well, I haven’t in fact. Been living under a rock. ๐ It’s just taken me a while to try this “style” of oats. Try them I have and it was the right thing to do.

There’s no cooking involved here. The mixture is just stirred together in a bowl, placed in individual serving jars and left in the fridge over night.

I opted to use this delicious (new on the market) Meadow Gold Protein Milk and they turned out so good!

They are so handy to grab and go in the morning, or just to eat as a snack. If you have time, pour the oats into a little bowl and add a few toppings. I went with more bananas, pecans and mini chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 C old fashioned oats
- 2 C milk (I used Meadow Gold Protein Milk)
- 4 Tb chia seeds
- 1 Tb vanilla
- 2-3 Tb maple syrup, or 2-3 packets Truvia sweetener (you can also add regular sugar here)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- dash nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Grab yourself a large bowl and pour all the ingredients into it. Stir until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into 5 half pint sized jars, or other containers of your choice. Put lids on the containers and pop them in the fridge for at least 8 hours, overnight is better.
- When you are ready to serve, top with more bananas, pecans and chocolate chips.

Itโs not showing any oats in the ingredient?
Karie,
Thank you so much for bringing that very embarrassing error to my attention. You need 2 cups of old fashioned oats.
Bless you!
~Jamie
