Hello there, everyone and welcome to a post housing many fabulous recipes perfect for serving a large crowd. I often get requests and inquiries this time of year from those of you who have been asked to help provide food for family reunions, youth camps, and other large gatherings in the coming summer months. What to fix, how much to prepare, how to store food, etc are just some of the questions I get. A few years ago I published a detailed post answering these and other questions…

Please note, all of the main course recipe listed below double and triple well and many can be made ahead and frozen. And Lasagna Soup For a Crowd! We use that recipe often for large groups. It’s not really a summertime meal, but still delicious.
PML,
Thanks for reminding me of that recipe! I added it to the list. So glad to hear it has worked out for you in the past.
Best,

Great list of recipes and hints to cook for large groups. Where do I find the recipe for the top salad (next to watermelon slices)? It looks so good, but I can’t find it. Help! Thanks.
Hi Mary,
Thanks for your question. The salad next to the watermelon slices is just a big Gourmet Green Salad. You can see some ideas for it here…https://jamiecooksitup.net/2016/05/gourmet-green-salad/
Best of luck!

That fiesta ranch green salad looks like pure perfection.
Love your recipes. I’m going to try the pulled pork.
We had a baked potatoe bar at our girls camp. It was also a big hit we included chili.
Also you can purchase boxes of uncooked cookie dough at costco that is great for a crowd.
We had a taco salad bar one night and used the left over cooked meat the following night in our pasta sauce.
